Not much to do here. You'd think they would have activities or even free kayak rentals off of the dock. Too cold to swim and there aren't any warm pools. The breakfast was all carbs. The front desk had no suggestions about which route to see point Reyes. And all the surrounding towns are tiny bits of dumps with no...

Can't wait to return to Tomales Bay Resort. I stayed at the resort for a friend's wedding. Mercury was in retrograde so my plans were constantly changing. A friend who lives in San Francisco was my guest to the wedding but unfortunately her grandfather passed away. Since she lives in SF she was going to drive us to the resort....

The location is great if you have a car to get around. The rooms were pretty average. The 'king size' bed was a double, in the room you first enter. There was a single in the other small room, with a microwave and two-seater table, with the shower/toilet room off that. Ok for parents and child - no privacy in...

This place is definitely not a resort per se as it's got a swimming pool and that's pretty much it, but you're definitely paying for the location as it's located right next to Tomales Bay (has it's own mini privateish beach) and Point Reyes. There is a kayaking rental place next door and a couple of restaurant/general store a couple...

Beautiful , quiet, resort, to get away, and enjoy nature at its best! Rooms were very clean, and restaurant was delicious. A wonderful place to stay, and dog friendly. You can go hiking, or kayaking, or just watch the sunset from your room, with a glass of wine! Stunning!

if the word "resort" makes you think of luxury accommodations, spas, golf courses or infinity pools then read all of the reviews and check out the website so you know where you're actually going. There is a pool and the property is located right on Tomales Bay with beautiful views, a pier extending into the bay and a sliver of...

This hotel is WONDERFUL!! They need to do some work on their advertising! We stayed in room 34 on the water. The views are amazing, the sun rises right outside your windows. The bed is SUPER COZY and comfy. Pillows are great! Some super squishy and a few harder ones in the closet. Hot water in the bathroom is HOT!...

My partner and I stayed here for several nights, enjoying the nearby hiking. We stayed off season and mid week. There were plenty of empty units. The desk clerk assigned us the worst room in the complex (next to the restaurant without any view and near remodeling and noisy -- we could hear the restaurant TV through our walls). We...

We stayed in 31, one of the Bay View rooms, which was $245 for a weekday. The room was large and nicely decorated, with a small couch, tiny corner desk, chair, and a fireplace. (2 Duraflame logs were provided. If you want more, you have to pay for them.) There was also a mini fridge and coffee maker. No land...

Tucked in Marin, Tomales Bay Resort, also know as the boat-motel, in part because of the small dock area for sail and skiffs. Centrally located to hiking and sitting by the dock of the bay, (sorry, I couldn't resist the pun) we'll run, clean and fairly priced. And what a view!
