We stayed here since we had an early flight out, is is near the airport no doubt but the setting is like a motel and the crowd is pretty ghetto. It looks like it was cheaply renovated and the walls have a thick coat of paint... I would mor stay here again.

Sort of pleasant hotel with a good location and rooms that looked a little tired and had slight musty smell but most surprising of all was the checking in and check-in person, Yoko, who was unusual in her lack of friendliness. Reminded me of film and TV shows of cold, unfriendly prison guards. Though she did change our room for us when the first room she gave us smelled too musty. The second room was a lot less musty smelling, still smelled musty, but tolerable in that we could forget it even though it was very apparent going in to the room.

Hotel is close to Airport, Kia Forum and Venice Beach. The room had a really nice hot tub. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There was ample parking at a fee of $10 per night. I would recommend eating at Italian restaurant Sunday Gravy within walking distance.

We booked this motel for a lay over stay in LA before a cruise. Have had great luck with BW before and looking at the photos was expecting a nice room, especially the one with triple queen beds. Well boy are the pictures deceiving. The area it is located isn't too bad for being close to the airport (relatively) but still felt a little on edge. Check in was interesting as the lobby was locked and we had to be buzzed in by clerk. Other than that check in was smooth and friendly. The room was something else all together. There was a faint odor to the room and you could tell that it had been redone. The beds were new, mostly clean and hard but the rest of the room was burnt orange/yellow straight from the 70's not at all the luxury the pics show. There was a spot or nugget of something on one the sheets and a spoiled gallon of milk in the fridge (assume that is where the smell came from). They had upgraded plugs in the room to both USB and traditional plug in but only 1 USB worded. The TV was a nice upgrade to the room just too bad the decor and smell didn't match. The bathroom had new tile but still had old paint, tub and curtain. I appreciated the soap, shampoo, etc were not bolted to the wall as in similar experiences. Also you could hear the building creak and moan (not the upstairs neighbors) at night. Not sure what was up with that but loud enough that I was thankful I brought earplugs.
My one curiosity was with the hot tub. They had the front desk area locked up 24/7 it seems but the hot tub gate was wide open 24/7 and it appeared to be the night we checked in a homeless man was in enjoying a soak for the evening, kind of scary. The free morning breakfast was probably the best feature. It was hot warm and plenty of it to go around. Check out was interesting as again I had to be buzzed in and the clerk was the exact opposite of the night clerk. She was cranky and annoyed that I was interrupting her chat with one of the cleaning staff. All in all I would say you could probably find a better place to stay.

My husband was handicap and had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to 3rd floor because elevators was out. It would of been nice of the hotel to call people and let them know so they can make other arrangement when this happens. Not everyone can climb that many stairs with suitcases and knee issues we should have been given that choice. I booked this hotel because i had called prior to booking making sure we had transportation to the airport through the hotel and was told yes and was told when we arrived that they did not furnish even though there was a best western van parked there. If we would have know this we would had choosen another hotel that furnish this. This cost us closed to $65 and then we had to pay to stay in this crappy hotel which cost us $130 and the room smell and when we arrived which we know check in is 3pm we got there about 5 or 10 minutes early which we done in other better working condition best western. We got to the room the maintenance working was in room repairing smoke detector so we had to wait about 5 minutes and make sure we were getting that room. The lady never acknowledge me a elite rewards member and did not even let me know if i was getting my 500 points. No soap, no shampoo or anything thank goodness they at least had towels. This is one hotel we will never ever stay at again and stairs were terrible to climb with or without suitcases. Please do not bother to reply back because i am sure you will make excuses. If i could have done ZERO on this survey i would have.

When I arrived, I was very pleased with the warm welcome I received from the lady at the desk. I had been upgraded to a jacuzzi suite but I was only staying for 8 hours of sleep so I didn't have time to enjoy that. Breakfast was served at 6AM which was very convenient before leaving for my early morning flight.
What made my day was when I received a call from the hotel saying I had left my tablet behind and how gracious they were in getting it returned to me. Many thanks to the cleaning staff who turned it in and the manager who made this happen!

If you need a simple place to lay your head for the night I suppose this pace will do. Unfortunately,m the room smelled old and musty like old cigarette smoke. The bathtub had stray hairs all around and was in need of some serious up grading. My room window faced the street (Centinela) it was very noisy, so if you are a light sleeper beware. When I first got to my room there was not a "Do not disturb" sign... I had to track one down with a maid. Then I noticed there was no remote for the TV. I called the front desk and she send "the shuttle driver" up with one. When he knocked, I opened to the door and he proceeded to barge into my room, uninvited looking around for the remote. He even went so far as to open the refrigerator... it was a bit invasive and didn't leave me feeling good.

My husband and myself stayed for one night during our layover in LA. We landed at midnight so we had to contact hotel for shuttle bus, we were instructed where to wait and that bus will arrive between 10 and 25 minutes. After 20 minutes we noticed one BW bus but he did not stop at all, although we were in designated area and waived at him. Finally after contacting them for third time bus showed up (after 44minutes). Driver did not want to speak with us, either he pretended he does not speak English or he could not (regardless, it is unprofessional).
Once we arrived to the hotel not only we didn’t get apology upon arrival but we didn’t even get good evening or any kind of greeting. Myself working in hospitality industry and after visiting so many countries have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. After trying to talk to staff he said, I quote ‘I don’t know why you are tripping on me’. Using such language with customer is unimaginable. Whatever we asked or said he blamed it on other party. We booked king room but we got two queen beds. Staff blamed it again on Booking and did nothing to try to fix the situation.
After we got our keys we had to go back down because it was wrong room, room was from other guest that was dealing with issue as well during our check in. Staff found this entertaining.

This is a very old hotel in need of major improvement. There was a faint smell of urine in the elevator. An attempt was made to cover up this smell with the use of Fabuloso, but you could still smell it.
For breakfast there were some muffins that were hard, and tasted old, as if they had been purchased days prior to serving. They also served croissants, however, these croissants were never taken out of the plastic container in which they were purchased. The entire plastic container was placed inside of the serving dish.

The check-in & check-out staff were very courteous. The bed and pillows were unparalleled to any other place I have stayed. The hot breakfast was delicious, clean, and fully stocked! It was an easy drive with the shuttle from the hotel to LAX. The LAX driver was late, about 10 minutes which made us nervous but we were able to make it on time to our flight.

Linda M, If you haven't made your reservation or if you already have, try to cancel if you can. This hotel or motel is not for a family with children.
Management is letting a prostitution ring work out of the property.
My wife and I had a terrible experience, there was a used sanitary pad in the night stand top drawer, where I was going to put my belongings.also feces smeared on the outside of the toilet where you couldn't see it unless you did an outside lnspection on the toilet.
Restaurant or room service was never mentioned by management
I think it was 6. Their website probably has that info. It was decent.
Please contact the property after you collect your baggage. There is a Kiosk in the baggage claim area and you can call us from there. Then wait under the Airport Shuttle sign outside the baggage claim.
We do not have swimming pool, we have jazcuzzi hot tub that is outside. Also Breakfast is free and we do have hot items as well.If you would like more information please give us a call at (310) 568-0071.
