We stayed at the Idyllwild Bunkhouse for three nights. The Bunkhouse is under new ownership as of January 2017. The owner, Raj and his wife, are absolutely lovely people. Raj was very personable and accommodating. I could tell that he wanted us to have the best experience possible. They Bunkhouse delivers a breakfast basket to your room every morning with...

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend full of hiking, exploring little shops, and chilling in a cute romantic room. I typically don't mind a little rustic charm, but the shower was just too far gone for me to ignore. Paint was peeling off in places, exposing rust, it wouldn't drain properly AND there were dead ants floating all around our...

Really cute place to stay! Our room was a bit snug, still had an old school TV, no AC, little portable heaters but you know, I'd go back. Not only is Raj, the property owner, attentive but his kindness and pride of ownership shows. He's fixing up the place so provided you are patient with things not always being in...

My husband and I were on a week long trip of hiking through Southern California. We drove in late and night and were very tired from a long day of hiking. We met the friendly owner Raj who was super friendly and helpful. We promptly got a room which was lovely. It really had everything we needed and the new...

I would definitely recommend this for any outdoors enthusiasts! New owner Raj is most welcoming and accommodating. He's working very hard to update the facilities- especially the showers! Good stop for PCT trekkers! Try the scones!

Old, retro, cabin style travelogue probably from the fifties. Charming with flaws. Nothing including the showers are upgraded. Best part-basket of delicious Warm scones and fruit delivered to your door. Worst part-walls paper thin so you might hear your neighbors. Located right on the main room. Quiet at night, not as much in daytime. Front of porch has beautiful, vine...

Located just outside of the downtown area of the village of Idyllwild along one of the main highways, which can be a bit noisy, this is a clean, well kept establishment with relatively small motel type rooms as well as a few cabins. Not all of the rooms are air conditioned, and in the middle of summer a/c might be...

The Idyllwild Bunkhouse has very recently changed ownership, January of this year. It's a rustic motor lodge that was built in 1948. The rooms have a "cabin " feel to them. The rooms are on the small side, but are quite comfortable. A continental breakfast is delivered to your door each morning. Equipped with a kitchenette and small outdoor balcony...

The new owners were very friendly. They allowed us to use the showers after our hike, even though we had checked out hours ago. The rooms were comfortable and had a nice rustic feel. Also, they are replacing the showers, so they should be nice for anyone staying there in the future.

This has been our go-to spot for years. I usually take my husband here for his birthday yearly and been please every time. We have stayed in both a regular rooms and stand-alone cabins. This year we booked March 4th to the 6th and have unfortunately came across new owners who had zero customer service skills. Of the 2 nights...

Management response:

Nickeled and Dimed" We are very sorry that your stay with us was disrupted by having to pay the fees for your pets. We have no control over the many booking sites out there, only our own. Unfortunately, they don't all charge you directly. They simply tell you that you will owe what remains when you arrive. It is a...
