I had the great good fortune to stay at Pine Woods resort last weekend. I'm a novelist and screenwriter, and I needed a couple of days away from the city to work on a treatment for a film I'm writing. Let me assure you: this is the PERFECT getaway, not only for any creative types, but for anyone whose soul...

Since I had business meetings in LA and Palm Springs, my wife insisted, that we would take extra time off, and escape the terrible weather in NY. My cousin has become a regular at the new Pine Woods Resort in Idyllwild. So my wife and I took couple of days off, before heading back to the snowy east coast. It...

I hate writing bad reviews. I really do. I read previous reviews and had to double check to make certain it was the correct place. Wow. First. I blame myself and booking dot com. I paid 150+ per night and expected much more. Management left after I arrived and didn't come back until after I left. I requested a refund...

Dina and I like hiking. We decided to start the new year, blessed by nature, and thinking over our hectic life. And the Pine Woods Resort proved to be the right place for us! We were told by friends, that the owners have bought the place near by as well, and that they put lights and cameras all over the...

Much of the exterior of the property has been updated, and our suite was partially renovated. The living room was charming but the utilities needed improvement. The unit took hours to heat, and we ended up sleeping in our clothes the first night. Shower was out of hot water in less than two minutes. Bedding was quite shabby and there...

This must be the worst place I have ever stayed at in my life. The owners are extremely unprofessional, big mouthed, name-droppers who think they are some Hollywood Elite!! Really? Not only will you not know who these people are, more importantly, you won't want to! I've never stayed in such a dump in my life. The beds are as...

My girlfriend and I hears about this charming resort, and the new owners. We came, visited, and indeed there is a great energy at this place. The team was very personable. They offered complimentary water and others pampering goodies. we loved the new silky curtains: When we closed them, the suite became very romantic. We also liked the playful-colourful tables...

My son and i stayed in the famous room 13 in late May 2014. this is a 2 bedroom suite with a small kitchenette & living room with nice TV. The rate we were charged, i believe was $159 a night, was more than reasonable for a place that size. We had stayed before when it was the Apple Blossom...
