Pasea is a beautifully designed hotel and has staff who are eager to please, so I wish I could give it a higher rating. But there were a couple of significant customer service issues I observed during two days there that should never happen at...More

We found our room/s (we had two) to be very quiet. We were on the third floor in both rooms. The first was far to the end at the rear of the Hotel and had what was called "A partial Ocean View" It was nice. We then moved for 1 night to "An Ocean FRONT room" which was clear at the other end and literally opened up to the beach view. PCH is just below so the car traffic (when the glass doors are open to the deck) can be heard. When these were closed the noise was minimal. The views alone were worth any PCH noise issues. As far as slamming doors, we don't remember hearing any, but then we weren't in the room most of the daytime rather we were at the beach or a restaurant or using the awesome spa. There are great quiet areas in the spa for sure inside and outside. The walls in both rooms were very well insulated because we never heard any other guests. We were there through the 4th of July 2017 so many people were around and lots of parties going on. We found the clubs around to be noisy only on the 4th of July due to large crowds and the din of fireworks and music celebrating. Other days the music was tolerable and not really bad. It truly depends on your location in the hotel. I recommend highest up and beach FRONT room. Good luck!

Yes, if management won’t help or know about it which does occur, then other travelers like me can help if we do know the answer. It’s rather disconcerting to say only the hotel should address an issue when it’s clearly something being asked of other guests. This is one of the reasons trip advisor exists, it’s for guests mostly to let others know about the experience. This is added to my original post to respond to the two people who gave no help but just directed you to hotel management when they didn’t know in the first place. Have a nice day.

Yes October is generally perfect in the Los Angeles area (well, almost everyday is!). Except for the occasional ocean haze (it usually burns off) it'll be great. I was there at Pasea in April and hung out at the pool all day. I see you're from Jersey where "the shore" closes on Labor Day...not here! BTW, I'm originally from Philly. Pasea has bikes, take a walk on the pier and there's a huge upscale outdoor shopping and dining area next door. Don't miss happy hour and sunset at the hotel rooftop lounge.
