Awesome time! Accommodations far exceeded my expectations. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars was because it was still bunk bed cabin camping on rubber mattresses and clearly not a 5 star resort but we loved it. As a family camper we were given our own cabin. It consisted of 5 bunk beds with basic bed linens. One...

Hume Camp is very close to lake, so it is perfect for swimming and you don't need to drive. There is a 3 miles loop around the lake, perfect for a morning walk. There is also nice Sandy cove on the other side of the campground. No showers but clean bathrooms. There is a store at Christian camp, also you...

The lake is very pretty, but from the recents fires the pituresque view from just a few years ago has been very damaged. As a whole it did not seem the same. I stopped by here 3 years ago and was blown away by this place, now, I would not even recommend detouring to come down here. The campground, having...

Great campground and I swear we had the perfect spot. The ONLY thing I would say is that the work station was located behind us and we could hear the generator ALL FREAKING DAY LONG!!! Sometimes it wouldn't go off until 10:30 at night. I left LA to get some peace and quiet and that didn't necessarily happen, but I...

This was my first camping trip, and I have to thank the other reviewers for pointing me towards this campsite. The sites are developed nicely, with plenty of shade and access to water and bathrooms. They are all a short walk to the lake which is breathtaking. The camp ranger (not sure what to call her) Vicky was AMAZING! Super...

We have been going to Hume Lake for nearly 14 years and our last trip was good until the last day. We had gone in to the store next to the dining room and we saw 2 T-Shirts. It said it was $5 on the shirt. The Man cut the prices off both shirts and told it was going to...

Not to be confused with the Christian Camp that first comes to mind when mentioning to your friends you are going there. The campground was surrounded by plenty of trees, but your camping neighbors are still fairly close. All sites are within walking distance to the lake. Camp host was very pleasant. Flush toilets, yeah! Access to the 3 mile...

This review is for Hickory Lodge at Hume Lake Christian Camp. This is not a campground. And if you go in the summer and expect to be alone in the wilderness, you will be disappointed as during the summer, churches from all over send their kids to this camp for a week of activities. It gets very crowded, so it...

Went in spring. Not official season yet. Paid in advance for Black Oak lodging. There was not a coffee pot, or mini refrigerator, or anything that plugged into an outlet, except lights. Despite the fact that the entire resort seem void of guests, our room overlooked 3 trailers lined up for employees(? not rentals). I saw we were the only...

We did not camp at the campgrounds, but actually stayed in their cabins in that area. My daughter and I attended the Hume Lake Mother-Daughter Retreat in May 2012, and it was wonderful! We stayed in their "Standard Housing" cabin, which was rather rustic, but it had the basic amenities (camp-style bunkbeds, electrical outlets and private bathroom). Nicer accomodations would...
