My daughter and I were in town for an event in El Segundo. The photos of this hotel looked amazing online (nice lobby, remodeled recently) and it was just 5 minutes from our destination. I guess I should've been tipped off by the $15/night parking (the Westdrift in Manhattan Beach is $30/night for parking), but if you are at ALL uncomfortable with homeless people hanging out in front of your hotel, in the hotel parking lot, or screaming on the sidewalk with their pants down, this may not be the right place to stay. I liked having a mini-fridge and the SUPER NOISY A/C unit kept the room cool, but I was annoyed that I requested my room to be cleaned after 3 nights and housekeeping never got around to it. The manager found some clean bedding and sent it to my room along with some clean towels. Beware: check out time is at 11am SHARP and apparently there are only 2 luggage carts in the whole hotel. There is no bellman - it's DIY, so If you don't beat the rush and score a cart in time, heads up: your hotel door automatically LOCKS YOU OUT at 11:01 am! Just the icing on the cake as you are trying to load your suitcases and leave. TripAdvisor reviews REALLY let me down on this one. This is a very busy urban neighborhood, so don't look at the pool pics and think you are getting a California beach vacation. I live in SoCal and am always surprised when people come visit and say they hate LA. But after staying here, I get it. There is simply nothing relaxing about staying here. It's 100% functional, 0% comfort. And to that sweet family from Canada taking the kids to Disneyland - next time, perhaps consider staying in Irvine. That 405S traffic must have been horrible.…
Very basic hotel. Surprised it’s considered an international airport hotel when the restaurant doesn’t open until 5pm! Food is available but its snacks like crisps and ice cream - what I would expect if you check in around 3am. We arrived at 2pm on a Friday and we were told there was a deli around the corner or Subway in the next hotel. Room was basic - typical 3* - but good size. Low budget linen, toiletries, etc and view of a grey concrete car park from the window. All the hand sanitizers were empty in reception. You could hear the maids complaining from the staff room by the elevators. Check in/ out was simple enough. Shuttle bus comes every 20 mins (however they don’t tell you at what time so you have to just wait there until it turns up)
My experience at Courtyard was favorable as it is not as crowded as a downtown hotel. Parking was a lot cheaper, and I had access to my vehicle. The surrounding area is safe but unremarkable, though we did find some good breweries about a mile or so away. My favorite thing about this Courtyard was its nearness to Sofi Stadium, which made getting to and from the game a lot smoother.
My daughter, grandson, and I were in Los Angeles for a family function. The visit was amazing, the function was great, and we liked the city. The staff at this hotel was very nice and helpful. But, in addition to the shower head not working (we had to use the hand held shower wand), there were a couple of strands of hair in the bathtub that were not ours. The next day we requested housekeeping clean the room. It appeared that our room had been cleaned, (beds made, towels replaced, etc.), however, the there were still hairs. Other than that it was a nice hotel with a nice staff.
A very new clean Marriott hotel, i loved how lobby big with alot of seated area wnd business center and smqll coffee shop just one thing that they don't hqve breakfast, room large good and new and staff friendl, also swimming pool outdoor with beautiful sitting area
It was really clean, the beds were comfortable, even the pullout was great. My dad is extremely picky and even he loved it! And comes with a good breakfast too. All employees were supper nice and helpful as well. Definitely recommend. Great place for stopping when traveling through.
This hotel is immaculate! The staff is friendly. The rooms are fresh and updated. Fire tables on the outdoor patio is so nice to relax by. I was initially worried about the location but it is a gem and neighboring city provided great restaurant options 10 min away. I would come here for a staycation every month if the beds were not so rock hard. Everything else including the jaccuzi was wonderful!
The employees are friendly I realized don’t park your car there unless you wanna pay $45 overnight don’t plan on eating dinner there because they don’t have anything hot for dinner. We wound up calling a restaurant that delivers pizza and salads. There are a lot of other hotels that offer more than this unfortunately. And I’m a Marriot rewards member so note to self I’m not coming back here.
Hotel was just ok for us. Too many Covid 19 restrictions. The room was ok, room was not serviced, when we came back to our room in the evening. Location was very convenient to LAX airport but the shuttle service was very slow and unreliable. The whole experience was not great.
I've stayed in this hotel many times since it opened a few years ago. It used to be shiny and new, but those days are gone. During my most recent stay, there were stains on the carpets in both my room and the common area. There were stains on some of the furniture and the towels were stained. I find this very troubling because cleanliness is very important to me. There are no toiletries in the bathroom. Bare bones. Hotel staff is very nice and try to help, but the hotel is severely understaffed. There is no housekeeping service during your stay and they seem to barely clean the rooms when folks check out. Super affordable price and not far from the amenities of Manhattan Beach. If you are looking for cleanliness or service, you will need to pay more to upgrade to an actual Marriott Hotel.…
