...who used to live in San Francisco, was in town to see his parents, wanted Seafood badly. Friday in the City can get a bit hectic, so we went to Half Moon Bay and thought we would revisit a place where my wife got what she thought was a good clam chowder, San Benito House, righ

My review is for the San Benito deli that is located in the same building as the House. Their sandwiches are VERY good and at an affordable price. They have a great patio to eat and musicians play during lunch time and the afternoon.

The place seems to run at a rather frenetic pace with customers running in & out ordering drinks and such. The garden area is popular and a line seems to perpetual form waiting for a table. We opted to eat inside and the antique fixtures added a nice touch. The food was good b

We stayed at the hotel a few years back. They maintained the bordello effect quite well and one can imagine the wild west years. This time we focused on the sandwich shop - where we ended up eating at three times during the 10 days we were in the area. The perfect weather for sit

"Pay attention to bar noise"
"We didn't stay here, just went for lunch several times during our stay. The olive walnut bread with egg salad was the favourite!"
"DO NOT stay in the romantic suite!!!!!! Stay away from above the bar/restaurant/staircase. Stay on the patio side of hotel best. Room #1 & #2 (#2 room w/large white-wood headboard on website) are fine..... No showers - only clawfoot tubs. No: TV-phone-coffee-drinking glasses-no frills. Website pictures are accurate. Go make some friends but plan on sleeping when you get home. Enjoy the downtown when the traffic is dead locked and not moving for hours."
"If you want sleep, quiet, and amenities, don't choose any rooms here-choose a different place to stay!"
"NO room is noise free but the street side (back) on a non bar music night might be acceptable"
