Overall outside needs updating and some extra amenities but the room was clean and lovely. The room had appliances and utensils so we could enjoy our wine and cheese. It was located conveniently to all the Wineries we wanted to try. Definitely the nicest place we saw in this town.

The place is old and in need of repair. Bathtub faucet wouldn't shut off completely - in midst of a severe water shortage. Good location next to vineyards, but our balcony just had a partial view from side of the building. Wooden walkway to our rooms was partly broken. Our TV set didn't work and we were promised a partial refund in 3 separate conversations. Never happened. Expensive considering all. Never received a bill. Nice grounds and outdoor swimming pool (which needs maintenance)

This is a dive hotel. My creek side hotel room is next to a jungle of overgrown plants and unable to tell if there is a creek. The bridge to my room looks like the Bates motel. The room was missing a chair, alarm clock and telephone. On arrival, it took 30 minutes to find the receptionist. And the small room drops about two inches from one side to the other which is not your friend after wine tasting. Blood on shower curtains and shower tile. On the plus side, bed was comfortable, water hot, and quiet room.

We just completed a two night stay at your property and I would have to say we were extremely disappointed with the experience. We had a number of issues with the room and service. Here they are listed below: 1. No towel bars or hooks to hang wet towels. 2. No shelf in the shower to put soap and shampoo on. Had to use the floor. 3. Second shower head has no handle. 4. Furniture still has labels on them. 5. WiFi is basically useless. It didn’t really work all weekend, and there’s very little phone signal here. I complained about it once, the desk attendant said he’d call the provider. Nothing changed and there was no follow up a. That’s just not acceptable. 6. The Saturday night (9/4) desk person (a man) had mask down and loose fitting. Kept falling down when he spoke. I had to remind him several times to pull his mask up. This is not In compliance with CDC safety guidelines. 7. Housekeeping left dirty coffee cups in the sink. 8. Half of the outlets in the room are not working. 9. The coffee cup is the wrong size for the coffee maker. When you fill the coffee up to it’s normal level and pour it into the coffee maker, it overflows the coffee maker. 10. Housekeeping did not leave clean towels. 11. The bed is too high off the ground for comfortable access. The platform is designed to hold a mattress only, and you have a mattress and box spring. It’s hard to get in and out without literally jumping. While we are in great shape, this would not be good for someone with limited mobility. 12. There is a nice living room area with room for a TV on the wall, but the TV is tucked oddly far away into a corner where it is only viewable from the bed. The whole experience was largely off. From the poorly designed room to the unacceptable service. I feel as if we have overpaid greatly at $425/night and am not happy about that at all. Upon checkout the person at the desk did not ask about our stay (she knew we were not happy since we’d given feedback prior), so it’s like they don’t care or want the feedback. She just curtly said “I’ll send you your bill” and to date (3 weeks later) I have not received it. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. They have no business running a hotel or dealing with other humans.

Our room has no air conditioning and was 112 degrees, we tried to cancel our 2nd nights stay and were told instead they would give us a 20% savings. After 2 weeks, 8 emails and mulitple phone calls I spoke to the owner. When I requested the credit he yelled and screamed at me and was awful. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The West Sonoma Inn was severely impacted by flood damage, but have since re-opened some of the rooms had we had a wonderful stay. Maintenance person left out some locally grown fruits for us, and really helped us have a wonderful time. WE're sure to return!

West Sonoma Inn & Spa is not currently open yet they are still taking reservations on their website and through many other booking sites. There are no messages on their website indicating West Sonoma Inn & Spa's closure. Repeated calls to the hotel, emails and even a Facebook message did not receive a response. After booking online through West Sonoma Inn & Spa's website, we arrived to find it abandoned with no staff on site and everything completely locked up. Luckily we were able to find their emergency phone up against the closed dilapidated lobby to which someone finally answered. The person was unapologetic for their lack of response and explained they were closed due to COVID-19. While this is completely understandable, not communicating with a guest and leaving reservation bookings open on your website is inexcusable. We traveled a far distance to stay at West Sonoma Inn & Spa and had to scramble to find a place to stay at the last minute. Completely unprofessional hospitality management with terrible communication skills. Highly recommend never staying here.

When I made the booking, we were never told that this property was under a complete renovation (no disclosure). All rooms in the front of the property including the lobby were under construction and a dirty pool (upon our arrival, our key was taped to the door of a temporary office/guest room). It was a Thursday afternoon and we were the ONLY 2 guests on property. Apparently there was one building out back they were still renting but we were the only 2 guests in the building and it was dark, quiet and scary for 2 girls. Our view wasn't the vineyard behind us but a dark parking lot in front of us. The room was clean and comfortable but I wish we had been told about the lack of services. I've tried calling them twice since and they won't return my calls. I called before arrival to check on the smoke and fire situation but they said it was all clear and no problem, please come. Well, I don't feel they were very honest at all. The next day Guerneville was evacuated. Our safety was not considered at all. We have a large group going there in May. I think it may be a problem all things considered. I wouldn't recommend this place until it's fully renovated.

We stayed here on a very busy weekend and like many here, it wasn't as nice as we expected for the price - but that was our expert for every hotel in the area that weekend! This is a motel-style place, with separate entrances for each unit. The rooms are definitely in need of an update, as the initial feeling when you walk in is that they are run down just because they are so out of date. However, they are very clean, spacious and the bed was very comfy. We had a room with a private hot tub (not a Jacuzzi bath tub but a two person hot tub), which was just what we needed after a long hike! As long as you are ok with an initial feeling of run down (from faded carpet and less than fashionable bedspreads), the size and comfort of these rooms is great. The biggest issue we had was with checkin - the normal check in facility is "under construction" - but with broke windows and a distinctly run down and uncomfortable feeling. The actual check in is now in a repurposed room, which feels a little odd. All in all though, this was a good stay in a nice location, just a little outdated and needs a little love.
