We enjoy coming back to this hotel for the comfortable rooms with beautiful views from the large balcony and room. The rooms are light and aire. Though, the water is just below you, you will have to drive to the state park and walk a trail to get to the lovely long beach. Many places to eat within walking distance,...

Enjoyed the setting and our overnight stay. Checked in late without a reservation, asked for and received a discount since several rooms were still available. The decor was "eclectic" to say the least - sort of thrift store eclectic. The building exterior needs maintenance - rusted gutters etc. The continental breakfast was barebones. The ocean view from the balcony was...

As part of a large family wedding, my husband and I stayed in the California room for three nights recently. Many of the other rooms (all with a different geographic theme) were occupied by members of our same wedding party. The rooms were clean, nicely appointed and interesting, almost all with stunning views of the ocean and river, and many...

We recently stayed in the Mendocino room, which was very comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the beach. The rooms are homey, with a mix of old and new furnishings and local art. There are books on the shelves and a fire log in the fireplace, which was nice. It should be noted that you can't actually access the...

One of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Shockingly luxurious. And the price was fantastic, especially for the value. We could be so lucky? Highly recommended for anybody - by the sea, our room had a great view, amazing.

I almost didn't stay here because the reviews made it sound like everything had gone downhill since the new owners took over. I booked the Mendocino room (great price!!) and I'm glad I decided to book here because the room was spotless with a nice little kitchenette, comfy bed and nice toiletries. The location was excellent--the Gualala Hotel was across...

When I called to make the reservation, I had told them I needed wifi & a quiet room at night because 1. I am a light sleeper & 2. I am taking online classes that I needed to do homework. Melinda had suggested a room away from the restaurant because they do occasionally have loud music at night. She booked...
