Just a wonderful relaxing getaway place with great people, absolutely great staff who try to meet all your needs in a fun relaxing manor. Great food! Can't wait to meet the new chef!! Fun wine tasting, golf, facials and shopping all close. Wonderful morning coffee down by the steam and great walks or steep hikes. Just come to relax and...

The best of all worlds!!! The setting is magnificent! Nestled in beautiful surroundings, Gray Eagle Lodge is the perfect mix of nature and creature comforts. Out family of four has been there every summer for the past 6 years. Why? Bret and Lynn Smith are world class hosts and their staff welcomes us with open arms when we arrive each...

My company hosted a corporate event at the Gray Eagle Lodge in June of 2015. Brett and his staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our group of about 25. The food, the facilities, the ambiance, etc. were all incredible. There's even a nice creek flowing right through the property complete with a waterfall and swimming hole. If you want...

Upon our arrival and check in we were handed what appeared to be our invoice save for charges throughout our stay. The invoices estimated price was $279 for two adults and two kids. Upon checkout the invoice was $427!! The owner added gratuity fee of $35, resort fees, and a whopping $50 per kid!! I can't say I have been...

A response to our future guests....please note that this guest stayed with us at a private wedding event which was held after we closed for the season. The double occupancy/additional guest pricing was negotiated by the wedding party along with the automatic gratuity. The wedding party was solely responsible for cabin assignments for their guests. This guest called and was...

Admittedly, we are city dwellers, but we love the mountains. And yet, we don't want dirt on our floors, spiders on the walls, and funky plumbing. Also, on a vacation, we'd rather not spend time in the kitchen. Enter the Gray Eagle Lodge! "Escape the city, not the comforts," is what their website says; and they deliver 100% on that...

My husband and I with our dog and two of our adult children spent spent a marvelous 5 days at Gray Eagle Lodge hiking the limitless mountain trails, swimming in crystal lakes, kayaking and paddle boarding on Salmon Lake, and eating excellent meals. We didn't have to lift a finger except to enjoy ourselves. Our cabin was delightful, with plenty...

I brought our hiking group to Gray Eagle Lodge and no one was disappointed. We were a group of 20. Tucked back in the forest and a little hard to find off the highway, watch closely for signs. An all inclusive resort, sometimes you wonder about the service and food. Not to worry, Gray Eagle exceed all expectations! The staff...

The property is beautiful. The ability to hike to several places directly from lodge property is awesome. We traveled with two 9 year olds and a 6 year old. First day, we hiked to Smith Lake (easily doable about 45 minutes up) and used the rowboat the property has stashed up there. Be sure to reserve boat day before, and...

This was our second stay at Gray Eagle Lodge. We weren't planning to go to the lodge this past summer because we have moved to Budapest, Hungary. However, when we moved, our children were so homesick that we promised them a trip home. Their number one place they wanted to go in the U.S. was Gray Eagle Lodge! Our trip...

Glamping is the best way to describe this place. Beautiful location next to a river with swimming hole and waterfall. Hiking trails that start from the property make it very convenient. There is no cell phone service and internet is spotty and slow at best - which adds to the charm for a family trip. Food is good but not...
