Quirky, mellow location in old town Eureka. Prices have been very good for the rooms I have stayed in and I love the historic nature of the location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoy staying here when I'm in the area.

I have so much emotion tied up in this review. I really hope the owner of this building will read this review and take it to heart in a positive way. Firstly, the building itself is THE reason I came to stay here. As a comfortable place to spend the night-- no complaints. It is a great room with a...

This is an awesome hotel. It is a budget hotel but you can't tell it when you walk into the room it is sparkling clean and everything is new: bed, comforter, heater, pillows and lighting!!! The breakfast was good; they had real milk, orange juice, bagels, cereal, Quaker oatmeal, coffee jelly, cream cheese, tea and donuts. It is more than...

This place is billed as an historic building, which it may well be, but it is also dingy and unwelcoming. We only met two members of staff, both of whom worked at reception. They lacked any obvious charm and clearly found it beyond themselves to offer any kind of welcome to guests staying at the hotel. One of them even...

Built in the early 1920s you can see how it reached the peak of its heyday in 20s and 30s. So much so that it has hardly changed since! It does belong to a former age and indeed feels like you are walking in to a living museum! Even the windows seem hardly to have been touched since then! Anyway...

Needed a place to stay as we headed south from Oregon into California. The website said it had gone through a complete remodelling & extensive changes to the decor. We booked for 2 nights as we needed a break. The Hotel is 7 blocks away from the Marina.. You'll notice it by its Bates type exterior on the Hill... The Room...

Am so glad that someone stepped up to the plate and brought this beautiful 1922's building back to its glory. There is a lot of history in this building, our room was a king, it was spacious and they keep many of the wonderful features. There is a small cube fridge but no microwave, we were quite comfortable. Staff is...

This is a gem for the ride along the coast. It is a beautiful old inn with tons of history. Glad we happened upon this one. It being old is what gave it it's charm. Would recommend this 100 times over. Would've gave it 5 stars but I just don't feel it's quite there.
