For the price it deserves maximum rating. The staff were extremely helpful and the room spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchenette equipment more than adequate and again spotless. The location is great close, to little restaurants and 5 minutes from downtown Encinitas.

We stayed one night while visiting sea world. The hotel was nice and staff was pretty friendly. They do however have a campaign, against people who missuse their towels. They tell you from the beginning, they will charge you if you use any towel for drying something besides your self. The hotel is located near the beach and freeways. They...

Charming little motel right in walking distance of all the action on Hwy 101. If you prefer something other than the hotel chains, as we often do, then this place is for you. The rooms are modest, but so is the price. Very nice staff and clean.

We have stayed at this place about 3 times in the last 10 years. Most recently, we traveled as a family of 5. It is very clean and comfortable, with a convenient kitchen in each room. It's a great location, close to our favorite beaches in San Diego county. (Carlsbad, Cardiff, and Leucadia.) The price is very reasonable, and we...

Friends told me Leucadia was a Happy Hippie retreat. But from a one night experience, the owner of the "Leucadia Beach Inn" is not one of them. She called me out of the blue before I got to Leucadia, told me that her office would not be open when I would arrive at 7pm and that I had to give...

We rented the entire inn (almost) for our family reunion. It was perfect for everyone, from the 90-year-old to the eight-month-old baby. The manager, Karen, was very easy to work with, had a lot of good ideas for us, and went out of her way to add value to our experience. Members of our family arrived at different times, for...

Having read other reviews I was wary of staying at this property. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spotlessly clean, the Wifi was excellent. There are bars, restaurants and cafes within walking distance and the staff were friendly. The downside is the noise from the 101 and from the train which runs regularly and is noisy. Yes, the electrics...

We've stayed here before, for my wife's aunt's 90th birthday, about 9 years ago. When it was decided to hold a family event to mark her passing, we pretty much all booked into the Leucadia. It is just as described, a traditional motor hotel, with a horse shoe of rooms opening onto 101. We were in Room 1, which was...

I would advise nobody to book at this hotel. I can not reach a human at this property. At this point I do not believe it even exists? I paid for two days and I needed to make a change. I think I just got scammed $400. As I said - can not reach a human a this hotel after...

I wanted to give the Leucadia a good review as the staff was hard working and very friendly, and overall we had a good weekend there. The location and price is good. It is a shame that our room (#20) had numerous issues. There is fairly fresh paint and the room was clean, but it is very obvious that the...
