We stayed three nights at the Cedar Lodge with another couple when lodging at Yosemite was unavailable. This might be best described as a motel in a retro mode. The suite consisted of a large room with a wall bed, sofa bed and kitchen, a separate room with two double beds and a bath with separate dressing area. Except for...

This Hotel is only 8 miles from Yosemite which is a real plus. We were really looking forward to going to YNP and we were'nt Disappointed. Ceder Lodge however had its good points and its bad points too. Considering how much they charge per room we were Horrified to discover that they only provide both polystyrene and plastic cups for...

The accommodation prices are in line with the general costs of the area and cheaper than most. I say that we chose the best location for the money we wanted to pay. 15 minutes from the park gates. The hotel was a bit dated but was clean and cool. Everything worked. The restuarant was very reasonably priced and of good...

I booked a junior suite, which was advertised for 6-8 people. There was enough room for all (4 adults) of us, but 2 chairs were no enough to have a nice dinner. After requesting 2 additional chairs, we got them very quickly. The kitchen equipment was very poor. Several essential things were missing and tools that were available were broken...

I was attending a training in Yosemite and found this property on Trip Advisor. My instructor recommended another property just outside the entrance to the park. I am glad I chose this property. It is smaller and quieter. Rooms are acceptable and the staff was very nice. The restaurant is OK but I did not care for the food in...

The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The bath rooms are large and has a big counter. The food in the restaurant is good. The store is open till 11pm. The only inconvenience is that there is no cell connectivity and the wifi is available only in the lobby on payment of $9/ per instrument.

I read most of these reviews before booking the Cedar Lodge for 2 nights during our recent stay in May 2012. I have to say it was very convenient considering there wasn't any other place to stay in the area that was any closer to the park, everything was booked. Yes it is pricey, but you are very close to...

We stayed this hotel and the Yosemite View Lodge (7 miles up road) -- both hotels were good. We had a king room with the biggest jetted tub I've ever seen. I was perfect after a long day of hiking. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and quiet. We ate dinner at the bar & grill....

This place hasn't improved much since our last stay in 2010. Our room was on the second floor, up 2 and a half flights of steps, but at least the room looked like it had been recently remodeled and had new furniture and bedding and a remodeled bath and large vanity. You do get a fridge, hairdryer, and an old...

Yes we have remodeled quite a few rooms, and have been also working on the outside. We have several different types of rooms. Some have flat screen TV and microwaves & coffee makers. We have some with full kitchens. The Wi-fi is thru an different company and yes there is a charge. We do monitor the keys and if a...

This "hotel" is very "motel" style, what with parking outside your front door and the room with the bathroom way at the back. The rooms are pretty basic and a bit dark (you have to pull the curtains because people can see you otherwise) but really have everything you need, with coffee maker and empty fridge (useful for food for...
