It's a nice property remodeled from older days. Checked in late and asked for help as we were having some trouble with the tire of our car plus we were really tired after full day travel. The person at the reception was very helpful at helping us to settle down. I wanted a quiet room because of the light sleep problem and he was kind to look for one. We ended up with a room that's neat and clean, has a comfy bed and all the little things you need. Breakfast looks good although we didn't get to try it due to the rush to get the car fixed.
I was at the end of an epic road trip, and this motel was a very comfortable place to land before the final push home. More importantly, the price is very affordable and fits our nearly finishing budget. Missed home, but staying here feels like a home away from home. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The room, bed and sheets were all clean. Not something common in a motel. I will surely stay here again when back in the area.
Two reasons to stay here: -price -location Price can't be beat...$35/night. Including tax a 3 night stay is less than one night in a chain up in Klamath Falls. Location is close to Klamath wildlife refuges, Bear Valley (which allows hunting at certain times of year), and Lava Beds National Monument. We chose to stay here rather than Klamath Falls because it was much closer to get to these locations. It's about 5 minutes to the turn-off to Lower Klamath Falls NWR and Tule Lake NWR. It was about 7 minutes to an area to view the early morning bald eagle flyout from Bear Valley. There is a larger mini fridge (about 3 feet tall) and the freezer section freezes and the fridge section doesn't which puts it ahead of many chain mini fridges. There is a microwave and a wet bar sink. The bed was a good firmness. There is free coffee, hot water, instant oatmeal, dry cereal and milk, and pre-packaged pastries in the morning. Room hot water is hot and the heater kept the room warm. There was good water pressure for the shower. Parking is free and very close to the rooms. Free wifi. It is a $35 motel; so.... the bedspread is worn and had a rip. The towels are thin. There isn't a ton of space...there's a table and one chair, but if you're group is two or more there's not a good place for more than one person to sit and eat the meal made from the fridge and microwave. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. The only sink is the wet bar sink; so, it has to handle hand washing and morning routines. The only mirror is above the table in the bedroom (none in the bathroom). There is no counter space for toiletries or by the microwave/fridge area. The carpet is old (but clean). There are some cracks in the walls. There is no closet--just a hanging bar with 5 hangers next to the bed. There was a big space under the door--we put a towel in it overnight to keep the heater from having to turn on so frequently. A pillow case had stains--looked like a blue pen had exploded on it. Not sure why it wouldn't be replaced or bleached. We had a king bed and instead of king pillows there were three regular sized pillows. It's decently clean, but aging. It's not up to the standard of a hampton or holiday inn express or best western. But, it was ok for what it is. The owners live on premises and everything felt safe. The other guests seemed like normal travelers--no weird vibes. located right off the 97--very fast to get on and off the main road.…
Parking was easy and that’s a huge plus point for us who traveled with elders and kids. We arrived around lunch hours. Checked in very quickly. Requested for corner room so that we won’t bother the rest of the guests and the lady accommodated that without any fuss. Room was fine. Breakfast was served early and had good selections. Overall, good value for money.
The grounds were remodeled recently. My biggest surprise is the comfortable bed and pillows, something that's not commonly found in affordable motels! I slept great thanks to it being very quiet too at night. People around here is nice and warm. The breakfast has good selection and it's not too crowded which is a plus too. The staff are very attentive to our needs. If you are looking for an affordable place for a few nights, I highly recommend this place!
