We recently stayed a weekend night at The Culver and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed. Full of historic charm with thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers, welcome refreshments, and comfortable furnishings. The service was also wonderful. The front of house staff made us feel welcome and made excellent recommendations for local dining. We will definitely be back next time we are in town visiting family!
Our 3-night stay was pleasant, in a convenient location and some attentive staff. Complimentary, tasty white or red wine during afternoon & evening hours was a very nice touch. The room rates were pricey, at $329 /night before fees and taxes for a standard room with 2 double beds. All dining facilities were closed, and parking was an off-site do-it-yourself system for $20/night. Movie history buffs can read about the Wizard of Oz cast staying here while filming a block away.
Great location, access to restaurants, walking areas , very safe. If I opened my window though it could be noisy. Best part of the hotel was the staff, obvious short staffed though. The room was very clean. Little things that are common are lacking , No instructions as to how to use the remote controls ( mine were having lots of issues) staff tried to help, but it did not feel anyone really knew was wrong. The restaurant is closed , but they provide coffee in the morning , a few sweet breads would have gone along way ! A little more ingenuity would be great !
This "luxury" hotel is not. While I understand that COVID has caused some challenges for the hospitality industry it has been 2.5 years and most hotels have been able to get their acts together. They do not have valet parking and instead say to park at the Trader Joes parking lot down the street. They do not have room service, not even coffee or tea downstairs. They do not offer any amenities at all. The room was tiny, the bathroom minuscule. The price was over $400 per night. Ridiculous.
Loved this historic hotel! It's been beautifully restored, in a great location, and very clean, with extra friendly staff. Validated parking is available 2 blocks away. The public plaza next door and proximity of many restaurants are bonuses. My room on the top (6th) floor, facing the back plaza (not the street) was very quiet.
Stayed here for USC graduation - convenient train station made it a short trip there. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The hotel is a really beautiful '20s style grande dame. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had a minor problem with hot water in the shower (something with the valve) and they resolved it quickly. Oscar at the front desk is a champ! Can't wait to return once they get the restaurant, bar, and live jazz back!
I went to Culver Hotel for the first time in about 10 years and the hotel and staff were outstanding! Nothing but five stars for the service. Jose in particular stood out for his care and compassion. He was truly, truly an incredible help who ingratiated me to the hotel even more. Quality Staff. QUALITY HOTEL. Alisa
Attended a wedding in Culver City and this hotel was where most visitors stayed. A delightful choice!!! This is a classic 20's property that was saved in a comprehensive redevelopment of Culver Town Center. Unlike most renovations of this type, the developers were able to save the charm but otherwise update the facility. A rare fete in this type of redevelopment. Rooms were more than adequate in size and nicely appointed. WINDOWS OPENED!!! WOOHOO!!! Bathrooms also up to date and charming. The Staff, however, made the stay special! Warm, friendly, professional and hospitable. Parking included if you book on-line and is two blocks away. No problem there. and the square around the hotel ... people getting coffee with kids and dogs. Give me hope for the future. Only good things to say here!!!…
Darren is truly a check in artist. I’ve worked in many hotels and he reminded me of Customer Service that I would give my honored guests. He gave us a lovely room with a beautiful view. The thing I really appreciate about Darren is that he really want above and beyond for me. I love the complimentary water. He explained amenities so well and really really make sure we had a great time. The room was immaculately clean. I appreciated Darren also giving us the toothbrush kit. It was much needed. Locals and visitors I like you should definitely at the Culver hotel and please look out for Darren . He deserves a raise! 10/10 would recommend.
We stayed at the Culver for four nights over the course of our wedding weekend. The staff was extremely professional, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, unique, and updated to meet modern needs. It is a beautiful historical hotel that was the perfect venue for both the wedding and the reception. The staff was receptive to all of the unique needs of the wedding party and made everything perfect and quite memorable. We loved the fact that it is in an extremely walkable location, close to restaurants and other local sites.
