Very nice and comfortable. The food is very good, the only thing is that some days that you want to have a drink or lunch at the hotel they close the kitchen and the bar very early. Other than that all was great.

Horrible smell in room which they said was a chronic problem. Had to tolerate it for two days. Room small, dark, and has a see through window from bedroom which looks into the toilet. So anyone in the room can see you do you business. What were they thinking?

I regret having to give a bad review, but my stay with Palihotel was so disappointing. The staff were friendly enough, but the hotel room was smaller than most dorm rooms I have seen. The mattress was so worn my feet were higher than the rest of me. The super tiny console table posing as a desk was insufficient for anything more than holding the coffee maker and two mugs. The lighting was all overhead and on motion sensors so it would sometimes go off if I were laying or sitting still. Lighting was also insufficient both in the room and in the bathroom for seeing myself well enough to put on make up. When I plugged in the room hair dryer it blew the fuse in the bathroom which looked to have blown before because it was already brown from smoke or something that had spewed from it. The hallways were grim and lacked any quaintness or elegance, and noise from them carried directly into the room. The walls were very thin to the point I could make out my neighbor's conversation. I felt duped by the reviews and pictures on the site. Other than it being in a convenient location and having friendly staff, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are looking for a dormitory experience.

Dear Cattawampus, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and with your fellow travelers. Although I certainly wish we had earned a less negative review from you, I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to hear candidly the areas in which we can improve as we continue to strive for perfection. With regard to the features of the room, we are constantly making changes to optimize the available space to suit the needs of your average business traveler. For example, we will soon be undertaking projects to free up more desk space by relocating the coffee maker & mugs, and implementing a mobile-based alternative to the tablet devices in the room that will allow us to remove them altogether. We are even in the tentative stages of planning acoustic intervention measures to create a more quiet, undisturbed environment throughout the hotel. I understand your frustration entirely and look forward to mitigating these concerns for our future guests. We have replaced all breakers for that guest room, as well as the batteries that power the motion sensing control unit overhead, since your departure, to ensure no other guest's stay is disrupted as yours was. I can imagine how jarring that must have been for you at the time, and I apologize for any duress or inconvenience you endured as a result. We are truly grateful for your patronage, and if there's anything that I can do to make it right with you and earn back your future business, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly at the hotel to discuss it further. On behalf of us all at Palihotel Culver City, I'm sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy your stay, and wish you all the best in the future if we don't have another opportunity to welcome you as a guest. Take care. Warm Regards, Harrison Prehn Hotel Manager | Palihotel Culver City

Fun place to stay well located to dining and shopping Quiet back street. Friendly staff with nice bar and small restaurant. Very clean and well maintained. We could walk to everything. Minimal street parking but they do have a lot that costs extra.

I have stayed at the Palihotel in Culver City a few times for work trips and have enjoyed each experience. Super conveniently located, friendly & attentive staff, & great overall atmosphere! The rooms are small but provide the perfect place to rest after a long day with everything you need. Really, they thought of everything. I just relocated permanently from Chicago so likely will not be needing a room for myself again, but will definitely be sending my colleagues here when they come in to visit. Also, check out the Italian spot on the corner if you're looking for a convenient place to grab dinner!
