After four days in Pattaya we went to Rayong. The purpose where to stay 4 days at the Oriental beach resort, but we stayed only one night and went back to Pattaya. The Pool villa in The Oriental Beach resort was pretty nice with some shortcomings. For example where the pool not clean, the aisles where not either clean and then we had a big hole in our bathroom. The beach where awesome but otherwise the place was almost empty. This resort didn’t suit my family.

It's actually a small apartment, well equipped with full kitchen and big refrigerator. Very nicely decorated. Furniture's quality is very good. Everything is clean. Water overflows out of shower room into the supposed to be a dry area of bathroom, but not critical. I especially like the swimming pool, as I got a chance to be the only one in it. Clean water and well maintained. I prefer this type of arrangement because it gives comfortable and restful atmosphere. However, car is essential as areas with shops and restaurants are a little too far to walk.

I had a night in 3 bedrooms suite with friends. Staff is nice and friendly. The place is spacious with good quality of beds and pillows. However, the sofa in living room is quite old and has stain on it. Some sunbath chairs is about to be broken anytime. Location is nice and everything but they need to focus more on maintainance of their sofa and surrounding. Also my friend found 2 big cockroaches dead in her room when we arrived, not a pleasant feeling. Overall experience was alright, just different from I perceived in their websites and photos.

Awful everything, customer service does not exist, cant see how the place is rated 4 stars.. the hotel ground is so worn down and dirty. Its just off the main road with walking distance to nothing. The resort offers one lousy restaurant. Breakfast wqs bad toojust oike their 2 really unpleasant pools. (Was actually refused to use one due to maintenance at 10 in the morning) The rooms are not well kept the sofa was so nasty with dirt we thought sitting on it would make us catch something!! the beach part also dirty plastic on shore, the water also not nice! Not a single beach restaurant as far as eye could see even though according to reception desk there is a beach restaurant..just like they said there are beach chairs...well there are none!! The place is basically a joke, and when asked to leave one night earlier due to disappointment of the accommodation and hotel ground we were declined a refund!!!! STAY AWAY. Not worth the money whatsoever...

Stay away from condo! Smel of gasoline during all day ! All cars and minivans that enter leave the engine running for 1-5 hours and make the air very bad, You can't breath . At night there are drunken customers who harass and make noise all night. They have a lot of staff but nobody cares to turn off the engines or keep drunken customers silent at night. Better stay in the villas near the bech that are very well managed but stay away form the condominium that is in a very bad state! If you are looking for aquite place for breeth a clean air and anjoy the beach the only choice is the villas !

First trip to Southeast Asia. Itinerary composed around naturist resorts . Landed in Phuket and immediately transferred to this resort as arranged by them. Only naturist resort with beachfront and reportedly on the nicest beach in Thailand. Beautiful quiet resort with all the amenities as advertised. No disappointments. Staff helpful, efficient and accommodating. Leaving in a couple of days and afraid we didn't save the best to last.

We rent two pool villa at this place. The location is good as it was only few meters from the beach with no road in between. However, every thing else is rather unprofessional. Upon our arrival, they can not locate our reservation record which we made via Agoda. It took them an hour or so to find our record which they blame it on Agoda. In between, we just have to wait. The bath towel, the pillow, the bed sheet, of these two units were just DIRTY and TINY size. When you stay at the VIP pool villa, you do expect better or at least standard hotel towel, and pillow.

Also, the pool villa have three bedroom on the first floor and one more large area which they put the sleeping mattress for the children upstairs which is kind of nice, but when our children sleep up there in the play area, they want to impose extra 800 per child charge. In sum, we can rent the villa but our children can not use upstairs unless we pay more.

We would NOT return back. This place is NOT recommended

We had booked for four nights (pre-paid, no refund), but ordered a taxi back to Pattaya only a couple of hours after our arrival. That already tells something about this place. In addition to us, we saw only three other guests in the whole large complex, spooky. The "restaurant" closes at four, which isn't that big loss as such, but combined with facts that there are no taxis available, and the first decent restaurant is probably 10 km away, then it becomes a problem. The pool at our pool villa wasn't cleaned, there was a hole in the wall and a lot of mosquitos etc. It was a relief to be back in Pattaya after a day here. Please see the pictures. Don't come here!

When we booked at the hotel web site there was information regarding free room upgrade.
When we arrived at the hotel the security staff was friendly and welcomed us, but.. the reception staff (3 of them this afternoon) did not speak to us before we had waited until they where finished with their phones, not speaking but facebooking and chatting. We did not receive the welcome drink. We received the room we had booked and was told that we had been given high floor as room upgrade... not what we have experienced anywhere else in the world, but ok..
We arrived in the room, and there was no bed for our daughter.. We was then offered a flat rollable bed for the price of 700 THB per night. We accepted that but at this time we had a bad feeling regarding the hotel..
In the evening we discovered that one of the air conditioners did not work, the in room safe was locked and one light outside the bedroom was on at all times no matter how we tried to turn on and of the light switches.
The next morning a nice service guy came and changed the safe, and pulled open the air conditioner, which was really packed with dust, this he washed off in the bathroom sink and cleaned it with his hanker-chief.
The safe locked itself again a few minutes after it was changed, we informed one of the staff regarding the safe, but nothing was done with it during the rest of our stay.
Later on the staff in the restaurant told us we had to pay extra for our daughters breakfast (she turned 11 a few days before our visit to this hotel), I told them that we had booked with 2 adults and 1 child and informing regarding her age, and that the web site informed that breakfast was included for children under the age of 12, we also had to pay extra for the bed. The staff ruined our breakfast and after half an hour with discussions they told us it was ok, just the reception not giving us the correct breakfast coupons. At this time most of the guests in the restaurants listened well to what was going on and discussing loud regarding this.
During our stay we often had to request beach towels. Once one of the staff came with two towels to us after they had been locked out of the room behind the reception area, this was nice and good. A different time we was told we could not get more than one, and that should be ok for the tree of us she told us. During low season this is not good, and are not acceptable.
We was unlucky and broke one glass, and when informing the receptionist regarding this during checkout we was kindly given a bill for 60!! THB for an old white washed kitchen glass!! At this point I had enough, we payed the 4.900 THB extra for the “bed” and the 60 THB for the glass.

Most of the staff are from the philippines and do not speak Thai, their english is quite good.

The staff has no decission power, so when something happens they follow the management rules without thinking, and the guests are not treatet as guests, but as someone they must get money from.

Let me now tell you something regarding the state of the hotel and the experiences:
* staff have to use the guest elevators, meaning it is often filled with staff, cleaning utils, ladders, tools and such
* there is broken flooring around the pools, no warning sign was put up during the week we stayed
* there was markings from some old water damage in the bedroom from the bathroom
* the safe locks itself if one gets it closed and touch one key
* there should not be 4-5 people hanging in front, besides and in the back of the reception
* the reception staff should tell the guests good morning, day evening and so the first time they see the guest that day, just being polite without overdoing it as the staff in 7-eleven does
* no need for the receptionist to be super busy with their smartphone while the guests is around
* credit to the security staff, they where polite and friendly
* credit to the personnel cleaning, they where friendly telling us “Sawasdee” and being polite
* the personnel in the restaurant should not bother the guests before checking with the receptionist, once you bother the guest you have lost points
* local seasonal fruit should be available all days, not just in the weekends
* more than one yam for the breakfast would be nice
* credit to the staff in the restaurant for being friendly most of the time
* many of the lights in the pool by the beach was loose and not working, hopefully it was not dangerous
* water intake in the pool sucking very hard, making mark on my arm when I swam to close to one, no protection in front of the intake
* several of the sun beds by the pools where broken
* the mattresses to the sun beds by the pool seemed dirty and worn out
* the opening hours for the pool could be longer than 19:00
