The Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa is a beachfront sanctuary that many guests have found delightful for its scenic views and tranquil atmosphere. While some travelers express concerns over the value, citing outdated facilities and unexpected charges, the cleanliness of the resort consistently earns high marks, with its pristine beaches and pools standing out.
The warm and attentive service provided by the hotel staff often enhances the guest experience, even though there are occasional check-in hiccups. Guests also enjoy the hotel's amenities, especially the spacious rooms and pools with slides, but some suggest the rooms could benefit from modern updates.

We were suppose to travel to Vietnam but had to cancel last minute and find somewhere on the coast of mainland Thailand to spend last week. We had been very unfortunate staying at a horrific place on coast of Rayong previous night (oriental beach resort) so when arriving to Marriott in Rayong and was welcomed and met by Bew, we felt at ease, she helped us getting a high-floor room and an upgrade to ocean view a long with a few benefits during our stay :) the beach part as well as the different pools were all in great condition the staff everywhere were always nice and helpful!! We had Om taking great care of us in the C salt restaurant as well as Che in the lounge bar awaiting us for a post dinner cocktail!!! Hotel grounds are all great a few options for dining even though the fish bar was closed almost throughout our whole stay, we were fine given had been traveling through Thailand for 2 weeks, it was nice to just enjoy the surroundings, the breakfast had a wide selection of different kinds of breakfast ;) anything from the typical thai soups to curries to continental breakfast!! Beach part was nice and clean a wide white sandy beach (high tide in mornings). SPA was great we only had one massage each but left relaxed and pampered and wished we could have made it back. We did one bike tour to the botanical garden in Rayong, so beautiful!!!
All in all amazing stay hope to return in future!! Thanks so much team Marriott in Rayong

We decided to spend 1 night break in this hotel and were satisfied.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Khun Bew, the receptionist who was so friendly, polite and helpful. She was kind enough to offer us one hour late checkout (even before we asked) when she noticed that we were travelling with our 8-month-old son.
We had all meals in the hotel's venues. The food was fantastic, and the service provided by Khun Game and Khun Nit was top notch.
All the associates (especially Khun Nit) were so kind and mindful especially to my little son. They kept engaging with him in a super friendly way until our last minute. This was so impressive. Also, I loved it when your associates called themselves by name, so it was easy for me to remember.
To be honest, the room we got and the baby cot looked quite old with some visible dust and stains. Also, the departure experience with front desk could have been better, but these defects did not let us down as the overall service was perfect.
Surely, we will become regular guests.
Thank you all.

Stayed for 3 nights for my birthday, while the rooms are not cheap the view is totally worth it. You're instantly welcomed with a free frtesh drink.
The room was beautiful with a very clever in-room bathrom that you can open and close on 2 sides. It had an amazing rainshower and a great bathtub with pressure and ho hot water for days.
The shampoo and soap products are also great quality from a great brand of natural products and were a joy to use.
The staff decorated teh room for my birthday with a cake made of towels, balloons and a nice message on the mirror from housekeeping. The next day I fdound a p[iece of cake with my name on it in the room as a gift.
The next day again housekeeping made an amazing elephant with the towels.
Staff was helpful at all times and smiuling and I felt like a VIP the whole stay, probably one of my very best experience staying at an hotel in Thailand, can't recommend it enough!
The breakfeast was great too (not included) with choices of asian anhd western dishes and a great assortment of pastries. Fresh fruit huices that change daily, real joney out of the comb and other delicacies are available as well as an assortment of cold-cuts.
Two coffee machines are ready to prepare your favorite morning drink out of a trouch of a butto. A wide selectyion of teas is also available.
The pools are just amazing with probably the largest pool I've seen of probably over 60 meters with stations sporting towels and free infused water self-service at every corner along balls and toys you can lend to play in the pools.
There is also a grteat area for kids to play with water with mounted water gunms and a rain tunel that is even pretty fun to use as an adult along with 2 big water slides in the main pool.
The main pool ends at the neach with a beautiful view and theres coconit trees all around the pool for shade.
The only black sport was teh aquarium at the other end of the pool that clearly needs cleaning / refreshing.
Can't recommend this hotel enough, theres even little golf cars ready to pick you up and bring you wherever ion demand and the staff is always helpful and smiuling. I will definitely come again!
PS: in case I forgot, and yes I did, the bedding is amazing.

Spent 4 nights here recently. I really wanted to like this place since it’s so conveniently close to Bangkok, but unfortunately I don’t think we will be back.
Pros: staff was very nice, lots of open spaces, food on the a la carte menu tasted good (but was so expensive), right on beach, large pool, breakfast options are good, great water pressure in shower, good WiFi everywhere on property
Cons: dinner buffet was not good (a la carte menu was expensive, it cost more than the food at a Marriott luxury level 8 resort!), menu for poolside was even more limited, room had strong musty/moldy smell, mold around corners of shower, larger pool wasn’t very clean and they didn’t clean the aquarium (I felt so sorry for the fish and shark in there, so horribly dirty!), beach had trash on it and dead fish (I understand that it’s not the hotel’s fault that Thailand waters are so polluted, but they could at least employ one full time person to pick up the trash right in front of their property)

I went there on a long holiday so I had prepared not to expect much from them but I paid half a grand for a night and I stayed for 3 nights...
First, no one ever picks the phone up and the phone line is breaking so it's very hard to contact them. You need to call them at least 10 times.
Second, we booked 3 rooms. Each room is different. The first room has everything but the second room, you have to ask for everything. The hair dryer, water boiler and rain shower are broken in one room, the other room the fan always turns on by itself (it's kind of creepy). The room is not that clean. Some stuffs need to be replaced. It depends on your luck that you will get the good room or the bad room.
The breakfast buffet is good but you have to wait for them to refill things. Lots of people and of course no social distancing at all. I stayed for 3 nights so I tried either 6.30, 8.30 and 9.30 but they're all the same.
For dinner buffet, the food was cold, not many selections. I would say not worth the money.
The staffs are full-hands, I understand them because it was a long holiday but there is one waitress that tossed the box on my table like rolling a dice. The box flew and knocked the pepper and salt bottles down in front of us. She said sorry but this kind of manner shouldn't happen with 5 stars hotel at all.
The staffs there are confused. It's like they are not on the same pages. The reservation staff said one thing, the front said one thing, the hotel webpage said one thing. It's hard to understand and get answer. I have to deal with it and give up.

Absolutely pathetic service by the staff and management of the resort. Especially Supaporn Nammontree, who is the duty manager. To do a simple room cleaning/extra towel/water bottle, they take hours together & requires multiple calls. Supaporn Nammontree is not interested in running a resort, she appears to be careless and rude to customers. I would not prefer to visit here again because of the poor hospitality and pathetic service. I don’t recommend anyone to visit the resort, unless they want to be on the phone with the customer service all the time and in a bad mood.

I stayed in a one-bedroom suite.
The staff are good and try their best to give the guests an enjoyable stay. There were issues when requested items never appeared, maintenance issues reported were never addressed, and when we were given the wrong information about hotel services on more than one occasion. However, I think the majority of these service problems were because the staff are overworked and tired so they made mistakes and forgot things.
Everything else, however, there is no excuse for. The hotel has excellent bones and at one point would have been stylish and comfortable, but it has sadly been left to degrade to the point that this hotel is now a Marriott in name only. Some five-star touches remain like the high-quality toiletries and complimentary water by the pool, however, the rooms, the gym/steam room, the pool area, the restaurant, and even the grounds are about 10 years late of being refurbished. As well as what you can see in the photos, the water pressure in the room was dismal
The breakfast has been downgraded from what the photos online show but if you talk to the staff, they will try and find some of the missing items for you. I was compensated for the state of my room making the price closer to what it is worth, but if this were not the case, I'd also have to say this hotel is overpriced.

We had a one-night stay during the off-season. The staff was attentive, the pool was large and private, and the beach was pristine with clear water despite the recent rain. However, the hotel is dated, with tired-looking rooms and a coffee shop that needs attention, especially the table bases, which were covered in coffee and food splash marks. The breakfast spread was adequate, but I assume it improves during the peak season. We had an issue with the air conditioning and had to change rooms at 4am, which was a major inconvenience. Overall, I will consider other options in the area for my next stay.

We celebrated our honeymoon while in Thailand and decided to take the trip to Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa. We stayed for a total of four nights. The hotel is located on a picturesque location along the Rayong shoreline. To summarize our experience - This hotel has a huge potential to be the perfect vacation/relaxation spot. However I suspect that the Covid Pandemic and low occupancy has hit the hotel hard...
The grand lobby is and its views is breathtaking, checkin was a breeze and we were asked to sit and wait a few minutes for our room to be ready. We thought that we could take the opportunity to have a cold beverage in the lobby bar while waiting for the room. Sadly it was closed... And this was a disappointment that soon became familiar for the whole stay...
The resort has a total of six outlets. During our stay only two of them were open. The main restaurant C-Salt and the Waterbar. For us, this was very disappointing because we expected a hotel with a total of six outlets (as advertised), and the opportunity to dine at different restaurants on site. Mainly I believe the reason for all the closed outlets is due to low occupancy witch is somewhat understandable. However at least in this case it did not meet our expectations of a five star Mariott Resort.
The room we had was a corner room located on the sixth floor. Amazing views. Clean, and well equipped. Very comfortable beds.
Breakfast is supreme!
Due to the previously mentioned low occupancy the hotel seems kind of short on staff. However the staff that were there did an amazing job,. Friendly and service minded and really tried to compensate for the lack of staff.
The bottomline for me is that the hotel is perfect, if it was open. However in our case it was partially closed. Therefore Im struggling to justify the premium you pay for staying at this hotel as it is now. I would gladly come back at a later time when the hotel is back up and running.

This hotel stay was kinda an afterthought but I must admit I was impressed. While not spectacular in any way I found the hotel great in all aspects: room, pools, restaurants, and service. Great location between the aquarium and the Long Beach, next to the wetlands (go visit for a free boat ride with a guide).

There are several beach bar restaurants within a 10-30 minute walk along the beach so for 3 nights I think you would be fine xx
Nope. Not in our rooms. Just a kettle.
Rayong Marriott has an amazing array of food including a wide variety of vegetarian at 3 meal restaurant which is the designated breakfast venue. The resort has qualified Indian chef(s) & hold seasonal Indian weddings so veg food is offered throughout the hotel (not a problem) & can accomodate most, if not all food requests.
