Detailed Reviews
we bookad a corner room in the building with balcony. The best choice. We arrived late from Hua Hin but reception is occupied 24h around. Located at the beach it is perfect to relax, swim and subath. the hotel has also 2 swimming pools, but in the sea iit is more fun ( my personal opinion only) Breakfast in the morning is at the restaurant near the beach, always a fresh wind. Customers are a blend of Thais (thats good i like) , different european countries. So is the food, various Thai morning food, fresh food, continental breakfast. This hotel is very much prepared for the Covid 19 virus and everything is done to keep all areas clean & sterilized. On the road you can pick a local taxi Songtheow, wich drive Kleang to Baan Phe and back, around 20Baht/Person per way. Or you have time and walk on the beach (1 hour walk) but in the beautiful sun it's more fun. We will be back in 2021 as i have also business to do in this region.

Spent 5 days with my son for a holiday break. This is an ideal place for people looking for a quiet and relaxing resort. The rooms (bungalows) have been repainted and are very comfortable with aircon, wi fi, and a large bathroom with shower, Two swimming pools available including a kiddies section. Nice mix of foreigners and Thai guests. The quality and price ratio is excellent and we now avoid branded hotels that have higher expenses.
We like comfort and the sea and can do without the extras. The beach was beautiful and the sea clear. Perhaps this is the best period to visit. Many activities around the hotel such as snorkelling and diving. I would return since this is the kind of place we love. English could be a problem for folks not living in Thailand but the staff do their best to help you.

We are at the Resort now and will stay over Xmas and a few days beyond . We find it hard to reconcile some of the negative reviews we have read with our own experiences here. Considering the issues all hotels in Thailand have had to contend with over the last few years because of Covid19 some of the negative comments beggar belief!
This is a simple, small, informal, quiet place. It is not a large plush resort. The bungalow we are staying in is clean, spacious, well equipped and well maintained. The cleaners do a great job and any maintenance issues we raised have been dealt with quickly. The cost of the accommodation is very reasonable. The private beach is perfect. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Breakfast offered is more than adequate with both Thai and European options available. If you are looking for a laid back simple place to stay we would thoroughly recommend it to you.

I stayed there on September 18th-20th, 2020. On the second night, I found this gigantic gecko inside my room. I called the receptionist to ask them to help it removed. They sent two guys who came with Baygon, a mosquitoes repellant, and a broom. I asked them if it was necessary to spray the repellant because it was 10:30 PM and I had no plan to leave the room as I was getting ready to go to bed. Their response was yes. They over sprayed my room and finally caught the reptile. Instead of having me checked into another room, they simply said that it would smell a bit. I was surprised to hear as such, but I had no choice because the hotel was fully booked. I inhaled so much of the insecticide that it caused headache and almost vomit. The hotel staff did nothing. I made a complaint next morning and all they did was apologize. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend anyone staying at this hotel. I will DEFINITELY not come back to be a returning guest.

I feel bad to not be able to give an excellent review as I know Thailand is trying to get back on its feet, but this place has gone downhill since we were last here a few years ago. Rooms (ours and friends) had plumbing issues, non-functioning phones, some broken and worn out things in the rooms, and need painting and general freshening up inside. Daily maid service was just going through the motions, not actually cleaning anything. The grounds are nice, the beach could be cleaner, breakfast was nothing special. Hopefully as people return to traveling they can fix things up and have more dedicated cleaning staff. The sunrise and sunset is fantastic at the beach!

We have booked cottage gardens view, staying period 11-13 May.
Comfortable bed but room and towels are a bit old.
Nice private beach but there were some rubbish on the beach.
Due to COVID-19 situation, the hotel had to serve a la cate for Breakfast. The quality of food was not as good as we expected (compare with BF at other resort hotels)
I noticed that all staff were willing to give a best service but they don't know how.
I think the main issue is about poor management. The manager should give directions to the staff and look into the details.

The beach is ok. The staff are great. The food is ok. The room was comfortable and quiet. But the property needs some serious maintenance. Seems like they are letting it just run down. Too bad as it would be really nice with some upkeep.

Positives:
+ very relaxed atmosphere
+ lovely garden/pool areas
+ huge wooden comfy sun loungers
+ tasteful cottages, basic but a step up from budget
+ efficient service - little bit lackluster in terms of enthusiasm but not bad
+ nice clean beach directly opposite the hotel but messy all around
Negatives:
- some areas could do with a bit of a makeover due to general wear and tear

I am guessing that the previous reviewers stayed in the newest building as our experience at this hotel couldn't be more different.
We arrived at the property at around 8.30pm after a long and bumpy drive from Bangkok. The security guard who helped us to park our car, was lovely and friendly. Great first impression. We then made our way to reception. The lady there was so busy chatting to someone on the phone that she barely glanced at us throughout the entire check-in process. She just handed us a piece of paper to fill out with our address - even though she had our address right in front of her on a booking form. I don't really think we should have to do her job when things like this should be prepared by staff in advance. So while this lady was on her phone calls, it was the friendly Porter who had to explain to her how to even do the credit card process and he also advised me to not worry about completing the form and to just sign it as he realised it was probably not necessary? It seems to me that the friendly and professional porter should be at the front desk and this lady back-house and AWAY from guests. So this was not a good first impression. Also, no Internet access info was provided at check-in (and it was not available in the room compendium) and the usual cold drink was not offered. Whether we arrive later in the evening or not, this gesture should apply to all guests no matter what time they check in. Also when we asked if dinner was still available, she pointed somewhere in the sky and said 'yes'. Wow that was helpful.
We then went to our room and I think the attached photos will give you an idea on what we found.
1) It took the air-conditioning about 1 hour to cool down but judging by the appearance of the compressors outside the building, one can really understand why this would be the case.
2) The Siri Garden rooms are in an older building but that is absolutely NO excuse for the lack of cleanliness, the general wear and tear of the furniture and the serious maintenance issues. Also the television from the 1980's with its smudgy screen – gave the room a real backbacker hostel feel. The light switch for the shower room / toilet, is hiding behind the door which makes for fun access when the facilities are required in the middle of the night. We ended up leaving the light on all night so that we could find our way.
3) The room smelt like mould and just generally felt very tired. The bed had Gekko excrement in it - I realise that is hard to avoid in Thailand but how about checking a room before a guest enters it just for the final details? There was mould on the bathroom sink grout and some strange stains splashed across the shelves. Cupboards were all chipped and in bad repair, and the air-conditioning air vent was falling apart and mouldy. When opening the clothes cupboard, it smelt so mouldy and dank that our clothes smelt like it even after we left. The lampshade had water stains all over it. The back of the bathroom door had never been cleaned in years and was full of dirt and dust and of course all the paint was chipping off. Windows were dirty and the bathroom blinds were caked in dirt and dust.
4) When it rained, we couldn’t sit on our balcony as the roof leaked like a cascade waterfall. They appear to have affixed some plastic pieces to the roof but have not joined them correctly. This means that parts of the balcony roof were falling off due to constant water damage, badly stained and the supporting beams were so rusted that we worried the entire balcony may collapse.
5) Internet did not work during our entire stay. We were given the incorrect password twice and once we got the correct password, it was not recognised on any of our phones, iPads, etc.
6) Restaurant area – when it rains it leaks everywhere. But it seems that none of the staff notice the huge puddles on the ground (and don’t think to mop them up for safety reasons), the warping of the wooden tables due to constant exposure to rain, nor think it important to fix the leaking roof? We decided to finish our coffee on one of the deck chairs overlooking the beach - imagine our surprise to see bones sticking out of the concrete umbrella support blocks. That was rather off-putting.
7) Plus side - they have two swimming pools. We would suggest to make one pool adults only and the other a family pool so that all guests are catered to. Landscaping and gardens were pleasant too. Pool side furniture in need of maintenance though. The jacuzzi also had pieces falling off it, was not in good repair and it was mostly being used by kids so nobody else could access it. Oh and the beach area in front of the hotel was kept nice and clean although it is off-putting to see that the beach section right next door (the land is vacant) is full of rubbish as that is not maintained by the hotel. Personally, I would have staff clean it just for a better impression of cleanliness in surrounding areas.
8) Restaurant staff / food and breakfast. Staff seem undertrained. Nice enough but lacking in initiative and knowledge. We can forgive the lack of English as we are in THEIR country and we must adapt. No problems with that. The food we ate at the restaurant, had no presentation and was just plain boring compared to the other local Thai food that we eat every day. We had to constantly beckon staff to order more drinks as they were usually busy either on their smartphones or just nowhere to be found (it seemed that one man was doing all the work while others loitered around doing nothing). Most of the wine or beer items that we wanted to order, were not available. We were advised – it comes tomorrow. Well guess what – tomorrow came and none of those drinks were available still. Funnily enough, the only wines available were the most expensive ones on their menu. The breakfast on offer – both local and international options. It was average and the set-up was impractical as they had nets covering food items but nowhere to sit them when trying to access the food. It was a constant juggle and somehow there were never staff present to offer any help. The guests had to help each other.
9) At check-out, I had to wait around while TWO staff attended to a guest checking in. Not sure why one would need two staff to handle this and leave another guest waiting around. This really did prove that there is a lack of staff training and experience at this hotel and furthermore, not once did we see any leadership or management. During check-out, I took the opportunity to advise the TWO ladies that I was unimpressed with the lack of cleanliness and dangerous maintenance issues. They looked at me fairly blankly and asked me to wait and speak to the Head Housekeeper. So I explained the story again to the Housekeeper and even showed her the photos I had taken. She also gave me a fairly blank look. In fact they all looked at me blankly and I just said my goodbyes. I did not want any recompense from them – I just wanted to draw their attention to the issues we found and I did this in a very friendly way so as to not make them uncomfortable. I was also conscious of language issues so moderated my language accordingly. But all were unable to handle this situation and not one person thought to perhaps get the Hotel Manager to speak with me about it since clearly the staff are not empowered nor trained on how to handle guests with issues.
We would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Whether it has new ownership or not, the service levels are not up to par, the staff need better training and the maintenance and cleanliness issues need to be seen to asap. Maybe the newer rooms are in better condition, but that is not our problem as we would expect the same standards of cleanliness across the entire property. When seeing this lack of care, we think even the new rooms will look tired within less than a year. This hotel is proud to announce their new branding 'name and colours' and ownership - we don't care about their new Orange coloured brand!. We feel that they need to focus on what’s really important and that is the guest experience which includes good service, good food and clean and safe accommodation.

We hve been to this area of Thailand for many years now - probably around 8 bu not styed in this resort before now. This is a small boutique style resort at the far end of the main beach. The rooms are either in small chalets 2 to a building (semi-detached) or 2 storey buildings with 3 to a building 2 downstairs and one upstairs. There are around 40 rooms in total as well as 2 luxury beack front suites with their own plunge pools. We and 2 friends stayed in 2 of the smaller chalets.
The clientele are mainly Scandinavian (we were the only 4 English people there for the whole 2 weeks) We loved staying here it is a very reasonbly priced place with 2 pools and right on the beachfront. Breakfast is simple but with a reasonable choice for all tastes. The rooms, pool area and gardens and the restaurant/bar are very clean and tidy and the fact it is (in the main) on one level makes it very accessible for those who are not so mobile. We would definitely return here - it is very popular though so you need to book early.
