Peaceful place if you did not come around Students summer because this hotel had many students group joining school party and outdoor activities. There is someday noises in the evening.

This hotel provided accommination both Hotel with Sea view and Bungalow.

If you like peaceful sea, sunny day or shopping sea products or dried seafood I recommended as hotel is near Soan Son tree park and Dried Sea products and other souvenir like shell necklaces or Beach Dress style. You can drive around 5-10 minutes.

Evening around Sunset is very beautiful there and it is possible if you will go for swimming or walking or jogging around Suan Son Tree park.

Stay for the second time. Last time in their great pool villa but were fully booked so book one beach bungaloo. Staff very welcomed and friendly. beach very clean and good food at their restaurant. We paid around 2200 thb per day for 3 people during this long week end of Thai public holidays. We will come back!

This hotel is located miles from Rayong city centre and unless you have a car or motorbike will be difficult to navigate as we found out. There is a little shop on site and the restaurant is nice and reasonably priced. The photos of the hotel are definitely enhanced and the sales pitch of sporting facilites on the beach and wifi/tv are some what inflated. You can only get wifi in the lobby and the tvs in the rooms are all Thai. This wouldn't be too bad but we had a toddler to keep amused and there wasn't much for him to do. The pool is located in the middle of the car park but is nice enough- the deep end is very deep! BUT the biggest disappointment was the beach- it was dirty and we didn't see it cleaned once. Littered with fishing tackle, rubber and it was a big reminder of the environmental damage being done to the oceans. What a shame because otherwise it would be amazing, it is a real shame on the local authorities and more so on the hotels which have the audacity to call the beach private.

We just arrived to Thailand from Vietnam where everything is changing so fast. Here at Chalet everything is as it always has been. Old tv, 2 bottles of very good complimentary water every day, simple but tasteful rattan/bamboo furniture, great view from the balcony, laid back staff, etc.
We paid a visit to elegant Novotel (500 m by the beach) but no, we would not change. The feeling of being left alone, private, is one of the best parts of staying at Chalet. Hotels own beach is daily cleaned but the rest of it is very dirty. Hopefully it´s seasonal. Water is more than ok. If you get tired of the house kitchen or if the cook is not there, you can try the place across the road.

Quiet place located on the beach. Food, service, rooms good enough for the price.
No push sales on the quiet beach.
We stayed with two kids 3 and 5 in bungalow 10 steps from the beach, no luxury, but clean and no bugs.
Recommend restaurants across the street and 10 min walk south on the beach to nice restaurant / bar on beach. You can also take the local bus / pick up truck for 25 bath to Ma Pim beach 10k south.

This rundown establishment needs a complete upgrade from it's existing furnishings, the beds are very old mattresses stained. The plumbing to the bathroom is in very poor condition with the personal bidet hand-shower leaked causing the floor to wet and slippery which was reported but nothing done about during the 4 days we stayed. The breakfast which was included was reasonable the first morning due to low number of guests you were offered a menu to choose your food but on the 2nd and 3rd morning having busloads of locals stay there was a buffet provided which had a vast choice of food on offer except for the toast (which you cooked) all food that should be hot wasn't it was cold even though it was presented in a bain-marie. I also must mention that with the busload of guests came the Karaoke which was held in the lobby area directly below our bedroom fortunately this didn't go too late into the night but being woken by drunks trying to find their room didn't help us sleep. The important thing is the danger of using the swimming pool the water had turned green due to chemical imbalance and the cleaning method used is a submersible pump which has a filter bag attached which is connected to the electricity through a power board very close to the edge of the pool (see attached photo) and this was during the hours guests had access to the pool. I had to demand that the electrical equipment be removed from the pool and the power moved away which was promptly put back after I had left the pool area. This shows a complete disregard for the welfare and safety of the guests. This hotel is a few kilometres form Ban Phe (ferry terminal to Koh Samet) and there is a large range of hotels to choose from and this one I would put at the bottom of my list, never again.

Our stay was overall comfortable ,
Rooms were a bit old fashioned , but comfortable .
Tv was not working properly in our room , but we did not bother coz we intended to spend our time at the beach .
Service was good.
Food and beverage was the best part as it was all made fresh ,and we could enjoy it at the absolute beachfront Restuarant in the hotel .
There was a Volleyball net for guests to enjoy .
The swimming pool was a bit run down as a few tiles had come out in some places, and there was a children's pool too . But the adults pool was incredibly deep at 2.4 meters , have to be careful if not a good swimmer . Nice overall .
No Internet, wifi , hairdryer in the rooms .
I enjoyed there because I went with my cousins as a group .
Overall nice and reasonable .
