Very quiet hill top in Sierra foothills with a view of McClure reservoir. Very clean and comfortable rooms. It's a 2 hour drive to Yosemite Valley floor, about the same as from Merced. This is a house with a tiny yard, not a ranch. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts are curt and strict. The hot tub and living room...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penon Blanco Lookout. The property is even better than described and the view is stunning. Margi and Wolfgang are delightful and their hospitality sincere. Our room was clean, the gourmet breakfasts superb, and the morning bird songs heavenly. We drove daily to Yosemite, a 45 minute drive through scenic country to Big Oak Flat...

We arrived a little after 5pm. The owner/caretaker greated us with house sleepers that we should wear inside our room. Nice place to stay for B&B. It reminds me of a strict grandma. The breakfast is good and the room is clean with a very nice mountain and river view. I feel like I need to tip toe because of...

We stayed for three nights in the John Muir suite at this amazing b&b. Margi and Wolfgang were super hosts. They do have a house rule of no shoes, so please bring slippers or they can provide you with them. Stocking feet are fine. Their home overlooks the lake and valley. What a breathtaking view. It is very tastefully decorated...

My husband and I stayed here only one night and we wish we had stayed more. When we came there, we were dead tired from our road trip and what we wanted to do is just to relax and go straight to bed. That was exactly what we did. The hostess, Margi, had prepared a bottle of wine for us...

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in the John Muir Jr. Suite last weekend. The room was beautifully decorated. We started each morning with a beautiful sunrise sipping coffee on the private patio. The breakfasts were glorious! Margi and Wolfgang were gracious hosts and made our stay absolutely delightful. This was our first stay at a Bed...

Such a wonderful spot to stay...my lady and I were nearing the end of our 2013 road trip and wanted to spend some time in Yosemite. Everything in the park was full and we found Penon Blanco on-line and called. Very glad we did. Our hosts, Margi and Wolfgang, were extremely accommodating, providing excellent service without being intrusive. We noted...

My wife and I had a lovely time visiting Yosemite Park, and while we did, we stayed at the Penon Blanco Lookout B&B. Our hosts were lovely people, excellent cooks (and brewer, so try their home-brewed beer!) The room was beautifully appointed and the bed was super-comfortable. Breakfast was great, and enough to keep us going well past lunch. Do...

Margi and Wolfgang are excellent hosts at this amazing B&B. They keep this place up well and have every perfect special touch that you need to feel like royalty. We stayed in the Lookout room that has the most amazing views...book this one if you can! Breakfast: you have to request the eggs benedict...Margi makes the best I have ever...

We just needed to get away for a weekend and this place was perfect. A bit remote, but not hard to get to... beautiful view, comfy bed and a delicious breakfast made by our hosts, the owners. If we'd stayed longer we could have gone to Yosemite-- it's not far. My only regret is that we didn't choose the Lookout...
