We drove and drove through twisting, turning mountain roads to get to this hotel, and it was well worth it. The rooms, as one would expect, are very old and not your oversized, luxury experience. But then, that's not why you want to go. The room pictured above is the exact room we stayed in! Room #8. The owner was...

I absolutely love this place. It's very big and has a old western feel with good ol' hospitality. The staff is so amazing and genuinely friendly. Haven't seen anything spooky yet but the hotel itself gives off a kind of chilly vibe when you are walking around the halls at night!

We saw this hotel on Groupon and thought it sounded fun. I made a reservation and I then called to give them a heads up that we would be celebrating our 20th anniversary. That would have been a great time for them to let us know the weekend was an "ANNUAL SWINGERS" get together. When we finally went to our...

The Jeffrey is a fabulous place to visit if you are into history. This 19th century hotel is beautiful in all historic respects. There is now a veterans museum attached to the bar area that all vets can appreciate. The accommodations are what you might expect from a hotel of that era and if you want a bathroom of your...

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights on our way through Yosemite on a road trip. I was excited to stay here after seeing photos online and they far exceeded our expectations during our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, everything was very clean and the hotel has a great ambiance! We loved being able to go right downstairs...

This hotel is especially appealing for those wanting to experience the "Gold Rush" era feeling of charm, and character. The service is good, the rooms are each different (not unusual at all for vintage type hotels), and the restaurant/bar definitely has the "old world charm. The hotel is well maintained and yet at the same time does seem a little...

We stayed at the Hotel Jeffery while visiting Yosemite on one leg of a 2500 mile family road trip from Colorado. The hotel was incredibly charming. Both Forrest and Sarah have done a fantastic job with the decor and in maintaining the hotel's 19th century heritage while still managing to keep 21st century guests comfortable. And the kids (5 and...

My lady and I ate here tonight, on our 2013 US tour, based on recommendation from the B&B we are staying in. Got off to a great start - oldest continuously operating saloon in California, friendly staff, cold beer, reasonable menu. Let me be clear that the food we had was very good and the service we received from both...
