We were actually there this time last year but I forgot to leave a review. This is the only review I have ever left for any place I have been, because this place truly deserves praise. An absolutely faultless trip away. Everything was fantastic. The lovely family that run the place, the awesome snowmobile trip, the relaxing husky sledding, the...

We visited the forest hotel as a couple for a 3 days and we had the most wonderful time. This family run establishment is just great, and it is the family that makes your stay so enjoyable. They all get involved in the act and are all key to making this place such a wonderful place to stay. Add to...

We rarely go to the same place twice but this family run hotel is so special, as are the people who run it, we brought our children here in February so they could experience the magic too. We came as a couple last year. The activities were well organized and great fun,the kids loved the lunches around an open fire....

This is an absolutely fabulous hotel, we had a 3 night stay which was just not long enough. It's a family run business and they certainly make you feel very welcome. The hotel is very clean, friendly and serves great food. Activities are well organised, especially loved the day on the snow mobiles, thanks Patrick.. All the clothing provided was...

We were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to visit the Forest Hotel for 3 days at the end of January for my wife's birthday. Firstly, the hotel is excellent. It is set by a river (frozen over and covered in snow when we visited), and surrounded by trees and forest woodland, as you would imagine! The owners and...

I cannot recommend a visit to this hotel and this beautiful area enough. This is a family run hotel in which all the family to their upmost to make the guests feel relaxed and special. The area is amazing and the whole weekend very relaxed. We managed to see the northern lights through some cloud but even would not have...

I stayed at the Forest hotel in Dec/Jan 2015/16 for 5 nights. It is a wonderful place to stay not just because of the idyllic location on the Tarendo river and the typically Swedish log cabin feel of the building but mainly because of the considerate and dedicated Grape family who own and run the hotel. They do everything they...

Hey Debbie! Thank you for the nice review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that we made your holiday memorable! A few days after you left we got -35°C, a little too cold if you ask me! We will ask your tour operator to be more clear on what meals are included in the package, thank...

A home from home, run by a very welcoming, lovely family who provide a relaxed but well organised holiday to suit all tastes. The activities were extremely enjoyable and well run, with lots of warmth and humour thrown in, along with good advice about suitable clothing for each activity and the weather.. Everyone was extremely accommodating and the food was...

This holiday exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The warmth of our hosts Ingemar, Margareta, Patrick and Louise made us feel incredibly welcome; they are such genuine people who left no stone unturned to make us feel at home at the hotel. The activities were breathtaking, the huski sledding was so incredibly authentic, a genuinely amazing experience. We also...

When up north visiting relatives I always make sure I visit Forest Hotel, at least a couple of times each summer. Good food and drink, great service, nice interiors and lounge areas. So happy these folks decided to take on this hotel and run it like they do!
