We came to India for a wedding, and this is the resort that was booked for the guests of the wedding. Our stay was 6 days long. The family could not have picked a better place. Our room was spotless. While the bed was quite uncomfortable, it was clean and the sheets were changed daily. The bathroom was scrubbed and the floor mopped every day. In addition, the courtyard and lawn areas were swept. Our water was a bit finicky, but we got the hang of it. There were two bottles of water in the room for us every day. Three things I was most impressed with: the beauty, the food, and especially the service. The grounds were beautiful! It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the river view, especially from the pool. We had breakfast lunch and dinner most days and enjoyed every meal. I especially enjoyed the Riviera Club sandwich for lunch and the ginger fish dry for dinner. Perfection! Don’t miss a cup,or two of the masala tea. The service was top notch. From the dining room staff to everyone else, everyone was friendly, helpful, and well presented. Finally, but most importantly, Jijo. Jijo was absolutely amazing! He not only suggested places to visit, he made all the arrangements for transportation. The drivers he called for us helpful and kind of acted like your guides. Jijo was friendly, courteous, and helpful. He checked in with us to make sure our stay was everything it should be. Tucked away in a cozy corrner of Cheruthuruth alongside the Bharathapuzha river this beautiful property is one of my favourites among Kerala resorts. Have had several stays including Family Meets with 30people The resort has all the ingredients for a relaxed weekend...like beautiful infinity pool, lovely restaurant with tasty fare, courteous staff, ayurvedic treatment,gym, a cute bar, a lazy walk into nearby market area and a gazebo overlooking river . Overall it's a place i would visit again and again and would recommend to anyone going to guruvayur or passing by shoranur for a memorable stay.

This is a beautiful property with well appointed rooms and good overall facilities. The main attraction of this place is that one of the buildings was an erstwhile Palace of the Maharajah of Cochin. The rooms are still maintained with that yesteryear grandeur. One of the buildings has rooms that face the Bharathapuzha river and another one has rooms facing an enormous expanse of rice fields. The staff are also very courteous and helpful. A great place to stay if you're looking for a peaceful stay alongside some old world charm.

5 Points of my Review special Mention : Chef BENNY who made us main course, and Chef ALI managing tandoor Food : 5/5 hot, fresh and customized to taste and rarely you find good north-indian food in and around palakkad (Veg - Palak paneer and garlic naan, mushroom masala, Non Veg Lamb soup, Chicken Tikka Kabab) Price : 4/5 lil above average if you compare with price around that area. Much reasonable if i compare the similar place in Bangalore/Kochi. Staff : 5/5 Friendly, helpful easy to converse food opton Ambiance - 5/5 (this is wisely located on a river bank with indoor and outdoor seating option) Hygiene - 4/5 while the set up looked neat, there were cats roaming and bugging guest, animal lovers like me can ignore but cats jumping on table might not be safe

Stayed in December 2019 overnight for a college reunion. Very courteous and friendly staff at the reception and other areas Well appointed large rooms. Decent restaurant. Most rooms offer a view over the river. There's a pool and Ayurvedic services on offer though I didn't try it

This is a pleasant resort by the river, an easy 10 mins walk from Cheruthiruthi township. Our room was very large, clean and comfortable. The restaurant offered tasty meals at very reasonable prices. What was on offer for breakfast seemed to depend on how many people were staying -- but it was filling enough. The staff were very friendly, and there is a cosy bar (often missing from hotels in rural Kerala). Sometimes the lift to our floor juddered alarmingly before going up. The wifi worked well.

My name is Vijayan and I stayed here for 3 days with my family. The stay here was quite pleasant and relaxing. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The Ayurvedic Spa had good masseuses and the staff were very responsive. The multi-cuisine restaurant here had good ambience and food, with a view of the river. Perhaps, the only issue was that we didn't get hot water in our rooms for the first two days. All in all, very satisfied with the stay.

We had ordered fried prawns, dragon chicken, mutton fry and butter chicken. All the dishes were too good. This is my second visit. Phulka was also good. Love the ambience, just behind you have a beautiful view of bharatapuzha.
