This is a very substantial resort, with many facilities in excellent condition. During the week, there are possibly not too many other guests so if you are looking for bucolic quietitude, this is just the ticket. It is a short walk (3 kms) to the national park and Save Vietnam's Wildlife (which is within the national park). The staff are very competent and helpful. Special mention to Miss Yen in the dining room.

This is 2nd time I visit this place. I must admit that my first time here was not as I expected. However, convinced by a friend, we came back here with a big surprise. Staff were very helpful with quick service and kind attitude. We stayed in Ruby Villa. Very nice and clean rooms. We enjoyed so much the mineral hot water spring. This is one of the reasons we chose to stay in Cuc Phuong Resort. Resort offers bike rental, tennis court, camping area for groups. The most important thing is we could escape Hanoi to an area with fresh air, beautiful landscape, quite environment which gave us total tranquil pleasure. Thanks to the hospitality and kind support from Cuc Phuong resort's staff.

After the noise of Hanoi, this was a very nice and peaceful location to take a rest. All staff members are smiley, kind & genuine; so beautiful landcape full of flowers and fresh air. You wake up to such a stunning view that it was hard leaving the place. Don’t foget to go to CucPhuong National Park ( about 2 km from here).

Visited recently on a 3-generation family visit for a 3-day trip. Altogether, the place was lovely for the whole family. The landscaping was nice, making our walks after lunch a joy. I especially enjoyed the crisp mountain air and the scenery, while my son loved the heated pool. My father is still talking about the hour-long massage (only VND350k) he got at the spa. Another great plus for the resort is its authenticity: most food and even the furnitures are grown, reared and made at the resort, giving it a touch of the unique, something that counts a lot for me, anyway. On the other hand, some of the facilities were a little run down (still usable though), but I had no big issues anyway. The staff was nice and polite, and especially friendly with my son, which is another big plus in my book -been to too many places that are seen as more upscale where the staff just didn't have any heart in it. Seeing them chase around my son playing with him was precious. Foodwise, the cooking was authentic and delicious with fresh ingredients, which is very important in Vietnamese cooking. We had set menus throughout our stay, and I was quite stuffed after every meal. The selection was also great, as each meal went through a good culinary spectrum: there was always some local speciality (mostly goat dishes, the province is famous for them), and something more extravagant for the adventurous (boar or buffaloo) and something easy to eat for more conservative tastes (chicken wings, fish sticks). All in all, a great stay for the whole family, with some lovely views and great food. Also, be sure to visit Trang An nearby, it is absolutely beautiful!

My family checked in at the Cuc Phuong Resort and spa for 3 nights last week. Pros: Very helpful staff. Great pool. Well maintained surroundings . Decent breakfast. Cons: We were given 2 bedrooms in a villa ( Sapphire) which is poorly designed, badly maintained . The living room is gigantic but the furniture is sparse. The kitchen is empty, without any utensils. The sink leaked and flooded the kitchen/ dining/living room area. The staff fixed the leak but failed to mop the floor so it was dangerously slippery. We had to call the front desk to have the floor cleaned up. Both bathrooms sinks leaked so the floor is always wet. The bedrooms are very small, without a table, chair or even night table . We used their tour desk to hire a car and driver. The first day the car was very old, had no working air conditioner so we were given a different one the next day. The second car ran out of gas in the middle of Cuc Phuong National Park so we had to go to a restaurant in the park to wait for an exchange. For Vietnam, the resort is overpriced for what it offers.

Had a very pleasant stay that allowed us to relax and enjoy a peaceful night in a great villa! Loved the wooden bathtub and the hot bubble bath. Very friendly staff, easy check in and check out, and helped answer questions about our outings. We had Swedish massages, spent some time in the pool, and even enjoyed some billiards in the entertainment area. Would highly recommend to a couple that is trying to get away from the cliche touristy stuff, if even for just a night or two.

Tucked among hills near the cuc phuong national park, this resort offers a lovely respite. Rooms r well equipped with modern conveniences (read: air con!) And the grounds blend into the environment sublimely.

Our overnight stay was for conference purposes, so we couldn't fully enjoy the beauty and amenities of the resort - there are many sports facilities, such as tennis court, swimming pools, golf course. The grounds and landscaping were excellent - winding paths amid gardens surrounding a fascinating rock display, with great views to the mountains. Our villa was an ideal place to unwind after business sessions, though hot water seemed limited. The staff were all helpful and pleasant, and dealt easily and courteously with different dietary requests. The conference facilities were good for our one-room conference.

Stayed here on cycling holiday. Chosen as 4 star but although our private villa was very nice - the resort is in the middle of nowhere - there was little hot water - very disappointing as there was a lovely looking wooden tub in the bathroom which was totally useless. Meal was nice. Staff spoke little English. Has a golf buggy to move you around resort.

Just checked into the resort and found there was a misunderstanding due to a miscommunication on the policies stated on Agoda and the resorts agreement. Sales manager was very helpful and quickly resolved it. Very happy now.
