I went by myself without any dogs, this is not a motel only for dog owners. The place is immaculately clean, no trace of a dog being in the rooms. Of course if you don't like dogs, probably not the place for you because there...More
We stayed 3 nights and did not want to leave. Beautiful, clean room.. Can smell, hear the ocean! My dog received a personalized bowl filled with goodies and for me, nice fresh flowers in the room!. Comfortable bed and nice soft pillows. Great continental breakfast...More
The lady at check-in couldn't have been nicer - VERY cordial and friendly.
The room was clean, well updated and VERY comfortable.
All amenities (including wi-fi) were top notch.
This little motel is a TRUE gem.

Pet friendly is not nearly descriptive enough! Many places that claim to be pet friendly will not welcome us with three dogs over 100 lbs. each, but the wonderful folks at Cayucos Motel never batted an eye. The dogs were showered with treats and toys, the housekeeping manager's two young children played with them, the owner provided extra quilts and blankets for covering furniture (Mastiffs are notorious for sleeping on furniture.). Can't recommend them enough!
