We needed to get away right now, immediately, due to a family crisis. Did not book ahead. Wanted Cayucus because we needed some sand and surf time to come to grips with the crisis. Every place was full or sky high....$500+ per night should include dancing girls and cabana boys, prime rib and lobster tail. Estero was priced right around...

We got stuck because it was the weekend, and we hadn't booked ahead, and all the other places in this lovely town were full. So we were stuck here. Our own stupid fault I guess. All the reviews you rad are true. $178 and our own personal experience was the shower tap coming off in my hand leaving hot water...

The location is fantastic but for the fact the place is run like a tenement in Mumbai. The price is right if you like threadbare towels, slovenly housekeeping inside and out and the haunting suspicion they wash the sheets and pillow cases every two weeks whether they need them or not. Continental breakfast is a gallon jug of milk set...

Don't stay hear folks? You're better off sleeping on a park bench. TV didn't work. The lamp on the nightstand didn't work. The refrigerator didn't work. The shower was filthy. Mold and mildew on the ceiling of it. The grout was solid black with grime in some areas. We stayed 2 nights and requested that there be no maid service...

Filthy dirty and run down. Wish I had slept in the car. Had to ask for soap, shampoo and kleenex. Cold water sink faucet didn't work, clock didn't work. Several long hairs in the shower. Mold in shower, filthy toilet and carpet. Coffee maker but no coffee. Dresser but no handles to open the drawers. Could hear the entire conversation...

Stay away from this hotel! Location definitely does not guarantee a reputable find for lodging. What could be a charming stop, is ruined by the attitude of new ownership that has "zero" regard for cleanliness, customer service, or pride in owning an establishment. Filth, neglect, and denial describe this place. We were afraid to sit on anything for fear of...

We have stayed here in the past and it has been degrading to a point of just pure nastiness. The rooms were disgusting and filthy. The bathroom smelled musty and the mildew smell was overpowering. These rooms are not worth the money. Don't let the outside deceive you - absolutely disgusting place.

Pros: The outside was clean and inviting the staff was friendly, the rooms are large, it had tables and chairs outside the rooms to...

Me and my wife stay in Cayucos on a regular basis and truly enjoy the fun filled 4th of July weekend. In February we made reservations with a female the wife of the owner Mike aka Jess for the 4th of July weekend of this year. After providing our information and credit card info we got our reservations set. Well...

Driving up, this reminded me of so many motels my family stayed in over the years. Except for old, worn, carpet, it was clean and simply a place to sleep. The electrical outlets did not work for the most part and we were concerned about how this did or did not meet building codes. However, we settled in for what...
