We loved the Lamplighter! We stayed in the Bluebird Cottage with our teenage children, so we had a king bed downstairs and 2 single beds in the loft. It was perfect for our needs-really charming and unique. The grounds of the Inn were also beautiful, and the wine and cheese reception each night was a great way to meet other...

We had a wonderful stay at the Lamp Lighter Inn in Carmel. Our room, the Tree House, was like an oceanside cottage. Breakfast was available daily and wine and appetizers were served in the early evenings around the firepit. The staff was very friendly and made reservations for us at the Monterey Aquarium. Location was great, only a short walk...

Lovely place, lovely enviroment, closest b&b to the beach (one block!!!), great outdoors breakfast. We loved Peggy, one of the hosts, and the mexican staff in charge of the cleaning. Full of details: chairs to take to the beach, magazines to read in the room, childfriendly, petfriendly... A place sorrounded by chic boutiques with some good deals, good restaurants (Demetra...

Nice clean friendly establishment, would visit again. Staff is very accommodating and thoughtful. Breakfast was plentiful, evening happy hour wines are a nice touch to be enjoyed around the "firepit'.

We stayed for three nites in Le Concours room. Each room at the inn has its own name and character, so be sure to pick the right one for you. I admit I was a little concerned when I saw this room was attached to the office, but it turned out to be no problem. Everyone was so friendly, and...

My husband and I stayed in the Sea Star room about a week ago for our honeymoon. The Inn is absolutely storybook beautiful! It is a short walk to shops and to the beach - definitely one of the best locations in town. They serve a nice continental breakfast, have a lovely fire pit, and an awesome wine and cheese...

We stayed one night of a longer trip between SF and LA. Arrived after a long day of driving to easy and friendly check in. We stayed at the Einstein cottage with 2 adults and 2 children. This cottage is great for 3, but worked just fine for one night with 4. Very clean cottage with nice appointments and amenities....

We enjoyed our three nights in the Porpoise room - nicely secluded in the corner of the property. The room was large & had a light/airy, beach vacation feel and it was nice to have a big TV. The bathroom was small & dated but was really fine otherwise. Helpful to have a small refrigerator for storing things - although...

We stayed at the Forest Lodge for Fathers Day. We were a bit tentative traveling with a 5 week old, but the layout of the rooms made each place feel like an individual bungalow. It was great having breakfast delivered each morning. The location couldn't be better. Right next to the shops and blocks away from the beach. Free parking...

The Lamp Lighter Inn is a great little B&B close to the beaches of Carmel (2 min by foot, downhill). The hotel is cutely arranged, the rooms are each uniquely decorated and clean, and overall, the layout of the Inn gives it a charm of its own...very romantic. Our room (second floor, name sadly eludes me at the moment) was...
