I reserved a room with this hotel but when I got there the hotel was booked and I had to find somewhere else to say. Being an understanding person, I didn't get very upset and just found somewhere else to stay. However, when my credit card bill came it showed a $99 charge to the Carmel Wayfarer Inn. I have...

Although quick, my wife and I had a great stay. We had a late check in, and the person who checked us in was very helpful with local restaurant recommendations, and actually making calls for us so that we could get in. I would recommend this hotel, and think it was a good value."

Carmel Wayfarer Inn is reasonable value for generally expensive Carmel. It is conveniently located, walking distance (up the hill) from the many restaurants and shops. The small garden is pretty but the rooms and bathrooms could do with refurbishment. Having said that the bed in our room was large and comfortable. Free cookies are available during the day and wine/cheese...

I booked at this place based on some of the reviews I read and I didn't want to spend too much money since we were only staying 1 night. Well, you get what you pay for! This was the most terrible place I've ever stayed in my life. Everything about it is OLD. The rooms are stale, the sheets are...

My family and I have been staying at the Carmel Wayfarer Inn for over 10 years. It has always been the place we most look forward to visiting - usually twice a year. Our 6 year old granddaughter calls it her "Carmel home". We always stay at least five days - sometimes as long as two weeks. We always reserve...

A total rip off. For the price we paid it should have been a four star. Our guests had bugs in her bed. During breakfast I got a shower from the toilet above the breakfast room as it was over flowing into to our eating area. The hotel help consisted of a family with their six year old child cleaning...

This hotel was the only one available in Carmel/Monterey when the golf tournament was on in pebble beach. We weren’t at the golf but needed to stay in Carmel as we were passing through We should have been suspicious that this was the only hotel still available! It is awful. The rooms are filthy and horrible. There is nobody working...

We stayed at the Wayfarer In during the 4th of July weekend. When we arrived on Friday evening the office was closed so they taped an envelope to the window with our name and room number on it. We booked a King Kitchenette because we like to be able to cook some of our meals as we have food limitations....

We read the yelp.com reviews and it sent us to the Wayfarer inn in Carmel-by-the-Sea and really glad we did, we loved it! I was shocked by the previous guests comments! Hard to believe they were at the same place we were at, unless they were hopeing to get out of paying for their room. The price is more than...
