We decided to try a new dog hotel in Carmel this season (note to self: don't change what works), but to our consternation this hotel didn't measure up. First, there are only seven parking spots for fifteen rooms. We were lucky in that we were able to nab a spot the day we checked in, but we had to drive...

I have been staying at the Wayfarer Inn here in Carmel, Ca. since this past Monday evening. Wow! What a deal!! The room is super clean, with a view of the ocean. Lovely grounds, a filling continental breakfast, and ample parking options. I would stay here again without hesitation. An excellent choice for any traveler!! My dog loved it, too.

Stayed at Carmel Wayfarer Inn for several days for a family wedding .... January 2017... reviews weren't all that good and I'm not sure why .. rooms were dated but nice, clean and quaint! Members of our family stayed in a couple of different places and The Wayfarer Inn was as nice if not nicer. Close to everything and front...

This was the worst hotel of our West Coast Trip. We arrived late in the night, they had prepared a key for us and the route to our room which I thought was very thoughtful. When we arrived in the room, the lamps did not work, the TV also did not work after switching the channel once and our electrical...

My partner and I were driving along the coast road and decided to stop here....we had stopped at loads of motels on our travels in December and had made good closes up until then....I rang up and spoke to a man who was helpful. I then met him face to face and he was helpful in telling us places to...

I never like to give a negative review of a place but this time I feel that I owe other travelers an honest warning about the Carmel Wayfarer Inn. Check-in was efficient and friendly but it went downhill from there. When I walked into the room I knew I had made a mistake in choosing by price. I was expecting...

Great location in heart of Carmel. That is all this inn has going for it. Deferred maintenance is it's most obvious trait, followed by a need for a major purchase of new mattresses and pillows. The scarred furniture should have been replaced 30 years ago. The room reeked of musty carpet and fabrics. The heater in the bathroom was from...

My fiancé and I had planned a trip from San Francisco to San Diego and booked this hotel via Hotwire.com. It was advertised as 3 star. It should have been advertised as 0.5 star. You should believe all the negative reviews posted about this hotel - they are all true! During check-in we found the lady on the front desk...

We stayed in this hotel for night. The woman who served the breakfast, literally screamed at us telling us to have to hurry up because she has to go home!! As far as I am concerned, they should all stay home and don't bother to come to work in this place! (The Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:30...
