My husband and I had to book a last minute reservation in Carmel, and the choices were slim. We booked this one because it was close to the hotel our friends were staying at, and was the best without breaking the bank that I could find at the time. What a disappointment. The bed furnishings smelled really musty, had to... More

Great little place in a good location, friendly staff and decent continental breakfast. Good price nice and clean, also good parking! Not far from all the shops, bars and restaurants! We walked to Clint Eastwoods Mission ranch from here....about a mile!

Stayed a couple of nights during a California road trip. Most expensive time of year so wasn't cheap, but lots of homely touches about the place and nice rooms made for a very pleasant stay. Conveniently located for the beach and the best attractions. Recommended as a more cost effective alternative to the more well known brand names.

What a delightful little place to stop over! Only one night, but it was comfortable and clean, set in an absolutely delightful place, an easy walk from the main precinct. The price was fine, the room was spacious and I would love to return!

Overall very sweet hotel. Cute, quant and clean. Breakfast great, gave us a sweet basket of food and another area to get more food. We walked to beach with four children. Nice walk. The only drawback was one of the beds - super squeaky! The slightest move would squeak and wake you up. The other bed was great as my... More

Mother win for TripAdvisor. We stayed only the one night, the room was on the second floor , immaculately kept, super king size bed ( so comfortable ) lots of pillows! We had a great sun deck for late afternoon drinks and so close to every thing. You highly recommend for a few night stay.

Lovely stay, the 1st stop on our pacific highway drive San Fran to LA. They need to up date their images as these really don't do the hotel justice. The rooms we're dated however comfortable and free fast wifi. Brilliant breakfast options however in a small room and wonderfully located close to the freeway and a lovely walk through the... More

I really was happy to have stayed at the Carmel Inn. I had the corner room on the first floor - and from there I could see the ocean and a spectacular sunset. The free breakfast was basic incl. waffle baking. The staff were friendly (remeber what a smile and a hello can do!). There are some parking lots but... More

I stayed here for a night with my girlfriend, so I was looking for a property that has 2 beds instead of one, which is not easy to find, and booked a double-double room using the AAA discount. Here's my views on the property. Pros: 1) the 3 "frees" - Free parking, free breakfast, free wi-fi. 2) everything in town... More

My room was a junior suite with spacious sitting room, with minibar and sink above ideal for snacks and mixing drinks. Breakfast was served in a tiny room, and had only the basics. Parking however was too tight in the tiny lot. This location offers great convenience for strolling around the town and to the sea. The office lounge offers... More
