Room was very clean and spacious (bathroom was a little tight). Staff was courteous and helpful. Simple continental breakfast of good coffee and croissants was delivered to the room. Free parking and they even offered to let us keep our car parked after we checked out!

Husband and I stayed here 1 night on way up CA coast. We stayed in 4 other hotels on our trip. This was one of my least favorite. Didn't look bad outside but inside looked like a old hotel. Bathroom had the old pink tiles. Only thing I liked was the continental breakfast that was delivered to our room. Person...

Located in a prime location downtown Carmel and next to the ocean. So nice to walk all around eat and shop so close to the lodge. The continental breakfast was a little weak. The same items were served two days in a row.

In all fairness, we decided at the last minute to get a head start on our return trip from Santa Cruz and called the afternoon of the Monday after the July 4th weekend so we were grateful to find a room at a good price. That said, the room was very sparse, the bathroom had no space upon which to...

We decided to stay in Carmel by the Sea for a quick weekend getaway. Based on the good reviews, we booked a room. To our delight, the hotel is located in the middle of town. Parking was easy and close to our room. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed restaurant advice. Pets are allowed and I saw...

very nice place to stay in Carmel. It is right in the center of the city, lots of restarurants and shops around the corner, but still quiet and restful, very nice and helpful staff, a breakfast is served in the room, great coffee and croissant, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Pleasant. An older style of accommodation. Needs a refurb. Having said that, it suited our needs. If you want more upscale or trendy accommodation, you will be paying top dollar in this town. You get what you pay for. Our room and the grounds looked nothing like the brochure so be warned. Room was big enough with a reasonably comfy...

Was a good last minute hotel option! Matched the price I found on "hotel tonight" and was very nice at check in. The hotel is downtown so it's close to everything which is great. They are pet friendly ($45 for 2 dogs) which was awesome because we had two Bulldogs with us!

We love the Carmel Lodge. The location is perfect as it's very centrally located. We park at the hotel and never use our car until we leave. We like the feel of the older style hotel as it feels more Carmel original. Nice, comfortable bed. We have stayed here twice and decided it's officially "our" place!
