This quaint hotel is the perfect Get Away. It is close to the water and right down town for walking to shops. It does not have an elevator, so pack light to carry upstairs. The Pine Inn has all the amenities you need. I highly recommend.

We spent New Year's weekend at the Pine Inn. We had a lovely room and were treated to a festive and joyful experience. All the staff were friendly and in good holiday spirits. The Inn was very festive for the holidays. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature inthe room was perfect.

We traveled to Carmel during the week between Christmas and New Year. This is a VERY busy week in Carmel, so our experience may not be typical of weekday stays at the Pine Inn. The Good: Location. The walk to the beach is a pleasant, downhill 5-10 minute walk. (And quite UPHILL on the way back!) There a MANY, MANY...

We arrived at check-in time with our tired granddaughters. The unloading zone was filled with unattended cars. There was no hotel parking available. The hotel has only 19 parking spaces to serve approximately 40+ rooms, and all slots were full. There was no parking available on the street, and even if there had been slots available, parking there was limited...

Delightful reception fireplaces and ambiance. Okay-ish room. No heat. Frightfully rude, personality and service attitude devoid and atypically unhelpful front desk staff. But perfect location. And pretty. Dining room satisfactory. There are better choices in Carmel.

It's in a great location on the Main Street right up from the beach access. Parking can get tricky and hard to find when you arrive at night. This is a small boutique type hotel: lots of stairs, no elevator and small rooms with outdated furniture. However this is what Carmel hotels are like! We held our week long conference...

Visiting family in Monterey and decided to stay in Carmel for a change. Booked this hotel on a site with limited hotel options but offered extra air miles and this seemed like a good historic property. The hotel is charming, all red carpeting and gold tone fixtures. No elevators so have to climb stairs. But there is a doorman to...

This hotel has a great location and especially since it is connected to Il Fornaio restaurant. It was raining and cold so we never had to leave the building to dine. The decor seems like it may need some updating but it was still nice. We did not use the radiator and yet, the room was still warm (almost too...

A perfect historic hotel that fits the charming and unique atmosphere of Carmel. Old but elegant with hardly any of the "modern" technologies of larger hotels, but definitely matches the ambience of its surroundings. Everything you need to do is walking distance. Great place to relax and recharge. Breakfast and venue was great!

Our second stop on the way up the coast. In the heart of Carmel, easy enough to walk to everything. Found street parking easy enough, and due to their lot being sealed they were able to give us a pass to park until the next day. This is old Carmel charm. If you are looking for modern amenities, this is...
