We spontaneously decided to go for a ski trip and booked this really nice looking ryokan a bit outside of Niseko. In a local onsen guide it was even listed in the first place in a number of onsen.

this is a real get away. relatively far away from the towns. old school type with all wooden bathtubs. you can smell the strength which is what a real onsen can give you.
