We stayed for three nights on our excellent Swallow Tail tour for three. The staff were gentle and polite. Both the public rooms and our rooms were clean and attractive. Our pine lined room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed composed of two double beds sheeted together. There was no television. There was a stocked mini bar, tea making, desk and chair, two lounge chairs and a coffee table. The bathroom was very large and convenient with a shower over a bath. The water was hot except on the morning that we found ourselves without any water due to the pipes freezing. There were two electric heaters in the bedroom, one attached to the wall and another that we requested after finding the first inadequate. The lighting was good.
Our double room had a balcony with a couch that over looked the mountains and the Tigers Nest Temple. It was very pleasant in the afternoon before the sun went down. There was an area to play archery and the staff dressed us in traditional costumes for the experience. The hot stone baths set outdoors were excellent so remember your bathers.
The large and highly decorated restaurant where we had breakfasts and one dinner had a large and completely inadequate electric heater. The breakfast options included stuffed parantha, pouri and subji, which was a welcome relief from eggs and cardboard toast. The portions were very generous and the service was courteous and attentive.

Spent the last 2 nights of my stay in this lovely hotel. Although it was winter, they provided bed warmer so you sleep well at night. After a day hiking up and down Tiger's Nest, the hot stone bath was wonderful! We also had a special New Year party together with all the hotel guests and staff with dances, drinks, buffet and even a cake. That was special.

My husband and I paid a visit to Bhutan to our honeymoon. The country is beautiful, people are extremely nice and warm. The whole experience was amazing, and I highly recommend exploring this beautiful country. Now getting back to writing about Taktsangri-La. Such a beautiful property! The rooms are exquisite, our hosts, Mr Sonam Wangchuk and his team were extremely accommodating, helpful and gracious. Located just a few minutes away from Taktsang monastery (The trek is a heck of a challenge for a beginner), the resort captures the essence of tradition and modernization perfectly. From cozy bathtubs, breathtaking views to handwoven throws and bedsheets, Taktsangri-La is a perfect getaway and worth indulging in. The food was delicious, and home cooked with utmost love and passion. Do pay a visit to this wonderful resort and I promise you won't regret it one bit!
I cannot recommend this place enough and will always be grateful to each and every person for the wonderful hosting experience.

This is a premier place to stay in Paro, Bhutan. The hospitality is top-notch. Sonam, the owner, ensured a memorable experience for my family of three, including our child. Every detail was taken care of, from the extra bed to the delicious Korean meals and kids' meals. We also enjoyed a hot water stone bath at the hotel. The balcony offers a breathtaking view of Tiger's Nest. The place also features a small bar. While our child was sleeping, the staff took care of him, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing evening in the cozy bar.

This destination provided an unforgettable experience for us.

The best hotel in Paro, Bhutan! Beautiful Bhutanese architecture and great WiFi. Room is clean & well equipped. We enjoyed the drink amenities and the property’s location at the foot of Tiger's Nest. The botanical garden was a delightful bonus. Fantastic Korean food and typical Bhutanese food. Highly recommended!

The hotel has good review from most of the reviewers but I am surprised when I personally visited the hotel for one night stay. The hotel said there is no booking even though it was confirmed over the email two months before arrival.
The meal charges were so high that it was not acceptable and was kind of day light robbery.
The hotel staff were very unresponsive to any request to services and very unwelcoming. I don't recommend anyone to visit this hotel.

I started my trip in Bhutan here. It was a really friendly place, close to Tigers Nest (in fact with Tigers Nest views), good food, and comfortable rooms.
I got a free hot stone bath & massage with my trip...these were both very relaxing...especially good with the cold evenings & aching limbs!

This is a great place to stay near Thimphu. It's a bit of a drive from the town but with a driver on hand the location isn't a big deal. There's a restaurant onsite with really good local cuisine and a spa where you can have a massage and a hot stone bath (which i'd highly recommend!). It's very quiet and peaceful and only a short drive from the start of the trek up to Tiger's Nest. The room's are very spacious and clean and the showers have hot water.

We loved our whole trip, staying here was a highlight
Definitely check out the hot stone bath--really wonderful and relaxing. Especially after 2 weeks of hiking.
The staff is superb. They feel like a giant, happy family. Their joy is contagious, you can't be anything but happy around them.
It was also a great location. Quick to get to various monasteries and, of course, Tiger's Nest.

Very big and clean rooms.
But it is not about the comfort or anything else that we are expecting from a standard hotel. It is about the feeling of being at home, about how the people care about you. How they try to do their best to make you feel happy. The rest just doesn't matter. People that can complaint about this hotel, or generally about hotels in Bhutan, they just probably should go somewhere else, not Bhutan.

Yes, you can stay here with your 2 year old. Please be mindful that all hotels in Bhutan have stairs. So you will have to be careful about your toddler. Yes, they provide complimentary breakfast. Ensure you make your booking accordingly. The rooms are decently sized with all basic amenities available. The tiger's nest is quite close from here. So is drukyel dzong. Book a car; you will be able to visit all the attractions in Paro.
