We are situated among the Bhutanese local communities together with the farmhouse and villages. Walking distance to the oldest Kichu Monastery. 10 mins from the airport, 45mins walking distance to Paro town. 20mins by transport to the base of Tiger Nest. Metta resorts serves great choices of cuisines. Our greatest compliments from our guests are Indian and Chinese cuisines. Our local Bhutanese foods equally rated the best in our buffet line. We select premium meats and organic vegetables for our food choices. After a day hike to Tiger Nest you will enjoy our Spa right in the hotel or even body massage in your room.

I spent my last night in Bhutan at this hotel. This was the best hotel of the three I had during my trip. The room was in line with the other two but the welcome and the evening buffet was much better than the other two.

this is the best hotel room after staying in Thimphu, Punakan, Gangtey for the past week. the room is large, which is similar to the other hotels I've stayed, but the bed comes with a heater. the 2 standalone heater does not really warm the room which is similar to the other hotels I've stayed. thus it is advisable not a good time to visit Bhutan during winer season as most hotels are not adequately equipped to keep the room warm. Breakfast and dinner are quite good. large serving. the road to the hotel is in pretty bad shape as it seems construction on the road is still on-going. on the early morning check-out, the hotel prepare a takeaway breakfast to the airport. Very thoughtful. overall, it's one of the best I've stayed during my 8 days trip in Bhutan.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with my wife. It's a lovely comfortable hotel which is managed professionally among the others that I stayed in Bhutan (Not that the others are bad but this is better than the rest). The hotel lies slightly outside the Paro town. Therefore it is recommended that you ensure you come to the hotel after finishing all your sight seeing for the day. The surrounding is pretty beautiful and is a good treat for the eyes especially in the mornings. The approach to the hotel is pretty poor with very poor roads but kindly don't get disheartened. The destination is what you should wait for. The room where we stayed was pretty big and comfortable. Since we went during the peak of winter, there were two room heaters and a heated bed which made our stay even more comfortable. The food at the restaurant was quite good. Since our trip was a meal included package we had a defined menu but at our request the chef was kind enough to substitute an item with a local delicacy which we enjoyed to the hilt. The serving portion was actually meant for 3-4 people but we were only two and had to ask them to serve only a little from the overall menu. They were kind enough to understand our plight and heeded to our request. The service of the staff too was pretty hospitable and courteous. As we had to check out at 4 AM on our last day, they ensured that we left with a packed breakfast to the airport. Overall we had a good time at this restaurant and would recommend other travellers to stay here too.

Quite disappointed with the room we got. Extremely small, not properly sealed windows, very cold in the night, staff could not understand much , but they are not to be blamed. This cannot be a three star hotel. It is a stop gap arrangement motel. I would avoid.

We spent two nights at metta resort. Although the road leading up to the resort is rough, you will really enjoy once you reach the hotel. Rooms are in small cottages. Nice and clean. Service is good. And food is buffet. Recommended

A Home of Peace and tranquillity. Paradise for Photography. The resort is placed in the hidden deep in the folds of mighty Himalayas mountains. Fantastic gesture, unique unconditional services by the staff & close round the clock supervision by the owner. I have visited many places around the world. This is just best to me for both business and family leisure. I love to visit again. The city Paro and Bhutan is just like the Queen of South Asia to me. I had fantastic few days. Wish its further progression as the top in the city.. Cheers Nazmul Founder, Pumpkin Plus Bangladesh

Needed to drive through some narrow dirt roads to reach the hotel. Lovely Hotel but quite dated & in need of repairs. Most the doors didn't open/close properly. Some floor & wall tiles were broken. The room was spacious but a little cold as there were only 2 small heaters. However, electrical blankets were provided. Unfortunately, because there were not enough wall plugs, we had to choose between having the heater or the electrical blanket! Bed was very comfortable. Food was quite good but the dessert was lousy. Staff was very friendly & helpful.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Room was well prepared and the warmest I experienced in Bhutan which was nice since it was winter. The meals provided were also good. All in all, it was a nice stay.

Don't be put off by the approach to this hotel, just outside Paro....the construction activity around gives it a not-so-pleasant feel. Once inside, it is an oasis of calm bustle, like any other good hotel. Attentive and well trained staff headed by Tshering Tobgay, welcome and pamper you for the duration of your stay. The rooms are well appointed and decorated, clean and airy. The dining area is well arrranged, serving good food (though mostly Indian). The common areas include a sitting room with TVs. Endless cups of tea and friendly smiles abound. It's a deceptively good place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of main street Paro.

For the last leg of our Bhutan holiday we drove back to Paro and checked into Metta Resort. The resort was a ten minute drive from the city centre. The resort is built on terraced land. We climbed a flight of stairs to reach the lobby and the room we stayed was on the next level. We were greeted by girls from the Front Desk who smilingly took charge of our bags. In spite of telling them that we would carry our bags, they insisted and carried our bags effortlessly to the room. The room was spacious with an double bed and bay windows. There was a small sitting area near the door which also has the television. The bathroom too was large with a shower area and had toiletries and linen. It had running hot water all through our stay. The bar is in an open courtyard just above the lobby which has a pit for bonfire. This is the place where the hotel arranges cultural dances by local artisans. The only restaurant is off the Lobby which serves buffet meals. The food was multi cuisine with a large portion being Indian dishes. The day we checked out the hotel gave us packed breakfast. The smiling ladies who run this place really know what hospitality is all about. Metta Resort is highly recommended.
