Paro itself is a great place to visit. The people of Bhutan are very helpful. It was lovely staying in this Lodge. The building architecture is pretty different from what we have in India. Its soo soo peaceful, you'll never want to come back from here.

We only had lunch here. The food was delicious. They prepared some chicken not very spicy, fresh salad with honey mustard -delicious, local rice with vegetables-again delicious, dumplings-the best I ever had. The staff was friendly, carefull and they made us fell great. The toilets were very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were able to relax and take a ride into the town. The food and service was great and we got introduced to Buthanese pepper here too. I would definitely stay here again.

Although this hotel is out of town and not close to anyplace, this place is worth staying. Nice large, comfortable rooms with sitting room. Large bathroom and shower. Nice restaurant with excellent local food. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly and helpful staff. Going out at night, you will need a flashlight as the rooms are in separate buildings.

Do you want to stay in a small, comfortable, no frills lodge with a friendly ,helpful staff? How about if it were close to the airport that services not only Paro, but essentially all of Eastern Bhutan? Finally, add the BEST food I ate during my two week trip to Bhutan!! I most highly recommend the momos ( sort of...

The food was excellent - bowls of it delivered fresh to your table, not the luke-warm buffets we'd become used to in the rest of our hotels. The only trouble was that on one night we were the only guests, and on the other night there was just one other couple, so it was very quiet in the dining room....

We spent three nights here at the end of March and we were made very welcome. On one night we were the only guests. One bugbear, mentioned by at least one other reviewer, is the noise of dogs from the surrounding farms barking all night. The place is built on the lines of a traditional farmhouse with wood floors but...

arriving about 1900 and met with hotel staff in the car parking area with hand torches to guide us across the unmade road to the hotel. A novel start to dinner! We only saw the two (smart) dining rooms which were populated exclusively by Europeans. The range of the buffet dishes was good although there was a very Western touch...

Like many travelers, I like the bustle of the towns, but the Village Lodge was great even though remote! I was never cold as a previous reviewer suggested. There were two portable radiators in the spacious room and I loved the heated bathroom floors. Was there for two dinners and breakfasts which were well prepared and tasty. Meals are served...
