One of the best resorts during our stay in Bhutan and definitely a very good resort in Paro Located just opposite Paro airport and next to a river the resort has beautiful setting Rooms are spacious , clean and has good heating Food we had was of good quality also indian food available in the resort was of good taste
The resort located opposite to Paro International Airport and has majestic view of paro dzong and tadzong and of course the airport view. All the cottages are surrounded by lush green garden, trees and bamboo. Literally the place is set in one of the best location nearby main town, and not to mention that pa chu runs just below the resort. Clam and peaceful, and well maintained landscape. Rooms are well maintained and basic amenities were well set. Room size were perfect for leisure stay.
We stayed at Tashi Namgay resort at Paro. A beautiful resort on the river front and amazing views of RinpunDzong and the Museum with snow clad mountains as backdrop. One can access the river too. Tried Ara a local drink. Food is good. Breakfast we tried Bhutanese omelette, nicely prepared. Worth staying. Dinner is buffet.
Great little hotel with a convenient location near the airport. Stayed here for my last two nights in Bhutan. Excellent hot stone bath at the spa. There's also a great craft brewery next door with exceptional red rice lager!!
Great resort near Paro town. Very quick check-in, excellent rooms, very friendly staff. The breakfast spread was very extensive as was the dinner spread. My one issue I wished they had more authentic Bhutanese dishes on the a la carte menu, but other than that no complaints. Definitely recommend this property for a stay when in Paro.
A good place hardly 5 min drive to the airport the staff were very helpful and food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable too but the only concern is for elderly people as you have to climb steep steps to go to your rooms , otherwise you can see I have give 5 star . Peter Lobo
The resort looked a little old but guests will definitely fall in love with its Bhutanese architecture. The chalets and grounds are well-maintained. The chalet I stayed in was close to the reception area but I did notice that most of the other chalets were located in areas that required guests to walk uphill, which is okay for people without any mobility issue. At night, one can get a great view of the Paro Dzong all lighted up from the resort entrance. On the whole a nice place to stay in when in Paro. And boy, all those photo opportunities one can find on the grounds of the resort!! The Paro chhu (river) flowing in front of the resort is so picturesque. The airport being close by is not at all an issue as airlines are not permitted to take off or land at night due to the mountainous terrain. Food served at its buffet breakfast and lunch was pretty decent too.. …
When I was told this property overlooks the Paro river and runway to the Paro airport, there was no place besides this that I wanted to stay and boy was I disappointed. The property was very average, forget getting a room with a good view, we got one which was quite far from the main reception building. The food in the restaurant was below average, we returned it on two occasions and having gone there in the winters, there are times you don't want to step out to eat after a long day of sight-seeing but this hotel had a ridiculous rule of adding 10% additional for room service.
The hotel is built in a fairly traditional Bhutanese style. My room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The dining room was large and rather impersonal but the food was quite good though. The grounds of the hotel are very pleasant with a view of the mountains and the airport. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful too.
Large, warm, comfortable room, two twin beds, two electric radiators, one on the side of each bed. The bathtub was a little moldy and in need of some TLC, but because there’s also a walk-in shower stall the tub was not needed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent, with lots of choices. From here to the airport is only about a 15-minute ride.
