Serene, perfect location away from town, facilities and warm hosts. Wonderful traditional place to stay and would recommend anyone who wants to feel Bhutan traditional vibes and have some fun conversations with hoste with good food. Will return back soon.
We visited this place for 3 nights from nov 30 to dec 2nd. Reaching the place can you make you feel like you are going to some la la land as it is bit away from the main town in Paro given the size of the city! But once you reach there you should be able to enjoy a warm welcome from Nima and his family. They are amazing hosts and provide clean and comfortable rooms. They do not hesitate to help you in every little way they can. All basic amenities are provided. Rinchoo who is a house help prepared lovely food and served us with such warmth! A simple and delicious home made dinner was served. This must have been the only place where my 2 year old ate well for dinner. We also experienced hot stone bath. While we do not have anything to compare with, this one seemed to be very authentic and required a lot of genuine effort. The stay has a beautiful view of the valley, beautiful sunrise view and you can also experience the apple orchards that it overlooks during the season! I was struggling between 4 and 5 primarily due to the location that can be a little tangent. So it is more like 4.5 for me! However, if you do not plan to explore the city after sunset and are better off tucked away in a quaint place then this is a 2 thumps up place to be in ! …
One of the best places to be in with your friends family or partner. This place is the perfect balance of nature and that homely feel to it. It's traditional architectural vibe will make you feel more cozy and at home. The food prepared by Rinchen is lip smacking. Nima and his wife along with Jambe and Jamu are beautiful company to have around for a chat and a nice conversation. Please do not miss this place. It's a must go and stay option for Paro. Thanks guys
Paro Village view homestay has to be one of the best homestays I have experienced. Place is above Paro town with stunning views of the valley. Mr Nima and his wife along with their 2 kids Jamu and Jambey were Soo helpful and the kids entertaining during our stay. The hot stone bath at their place after the Tiger nest trek is brilliant. Property is Soo well looked after and the views from the home is breathtaking. Would recommend anyone going to Bhutan to stay here and enjoy their stay with the Amz6 family of Mr Nima.
Nima's place is one of the best stays one can expect to stay in Paro. It's not in the city, but that extra mile you travel is worth it. The stay is at a picturesque location so we get a valley view from the room itself. They call themselves a homestay, but it has every modern facility one can look for. They also have an option for a more homely traditional stay. Apart from the perfect stay, Nima, the home owner, his wife, Shirin, Rinchin and his wife, all are perfect hosts and the warmest people we met which made our stay in the cold December weather not so cold. Nima would come and sit with us while we sat by the warm fireplace and have long chats about Bhutan, it's culture and it's way of living. Rinchin would cook his best meals for us, the traditional Bhutanese cuisine was so tasty. Even he would sit with us and talk while we had dinner. Shirin, was so warm from the first time I met her. Even she had her share of stories to tell us and we loved listening to her. I fell ill during my stay here, but all three of them took extra care of me. Nima specially adjusted the heater to suite me, Rinchin would make simple food and hot water checking up on me from time to time. Shirin went out of her way to come to my room and place a cold wipe on my forehead while I was feeling a bit feverish. I have tried to give a gist and believe me this is a gist of the hospitality we got at this homestay. We will cherish our stay here always. …
I was lodged in 3 star hotels prior to staying here during my solo Bhutan trip but this village home stay which gave a true experience of traditional Bhutanese hospitality outdid all of them (not to say those 3 star hotels were bad). The owners were so friendly that I didn't feel like a guest but one of their own,Mr. Nima personally welcomed me and we even drank a can of beer together! And I highly recommend the food they made in the Home Stay as nearly 90% of their ingredients come right out of their garden and paddy fields(from rice to cheese!!) so the foods they served are not oily but extremely fresh and healthy!. The last 3 of my 8 days trip to Bhutan ended well ,thanks to them! (special thanks to Rinchen and Mrs Nima for waking up at 4 am to see me off, I miss you all so much!!)…
We came to Bhutan with a lot of apprehension, a distant land from our place... Once we reached Paro Village View Home stay, Mr Nima made us feel totally at HOME... And it became our Home in Bhutan... Mr Nima and whole family specially Jammu were always around to entertain us with their special skills... Mrs Nima gave us a lot of info about the culture of Bhutan and family structure in Bhutan... Its a very cosy small homestay facility nicely maintained by a very Hard Working, Very Helpful entertaining, Enterprising Nima... After the visit to Tiger Nest, don't miss the Stone Bath specially prepared by Mr Nima... We stayed for 5 days here, a family of 5, and enjoyed each day... We recommend you to stay here and visit Bhutan on day to day basis
This place is awesome. Comfortable, clean, excellent view, and quiet. The family is very friendly and the son Jumu really kept us entertained during our stay. Last by not least, would really like to thank the caretaker, Rinchen. Very good cook, clean our room and went all out to accommodate our non-Bhutanese eating time. Because of our 7am flight out of Bhutan, Rinchen woke up very early to prepare us some breakfast so that we wouldn't get hungry on our way. Thank you so so much. Definitely will visit again during our next trip to Bhutan.
Very nice place to escape from all the busy schedules and Nima is a nice host that he will make us feel like we are at home. We we're offered dinner which was traditional one and the vegetables were directly picked from their garden
Paro Village homestay is situated 20 minutes from the main city. The homestay offers a perfect view of the village and one can enjoy ones cup of tea in peace. The hosts of the homestay are nice and offer their valuable input for sightseeing as well about their culture. They served us with their local food which was amazingly prepared. And also arranged Ara for us (their local drink). We also took hot stone bath at their place which is highly recommended. The place is highly recommended for people who are planning to stay in a homestay.
