The accommodations were top-notch, with comfortable beds, spotless rooms, and all the amenities one could need.

Market start getting close by 8pm and you'll hardly find any restaurant for food except coffee shops, so better to have meal in hotel itself.
Thank you Khamsum team for your services.

The room we were given was ok but cold and the room had a blower which was noisy and also took time to heat the room. Then the wooden cupboard was squeaky and making noise everytime we opened it. The toilet seat was broken in the initial room 200 something we were at.
And the nightmare that was the bathroom geyser. As we had travelled and hiked, both me and my friend were looking for a hot bath but after waiting for almost half an hour the water was still cold and the staff was called twice and they responded the same, wait for sometime. And even after 1 hour when the water was not warm, we called again and asked them to come again and check themselves. After which they changed our room in the same floor with a working geyser for hot water and mind you it was already dark by then around 6,7 PM.
Also the room we were shifted to had a balcony unlike the previous room, so I was wondering if there was a room available with a working geyser and a balcony, why wouldn't the staff give that room in the first place to the customers who have already booked and paid.
The pillow cover was also stained and the water used to clog in the basin after using it for a while making water splash.
The food was vegetarian and also disappointing. My roommate mentioned that his food was too salty and the egg biryani I ordered for dinner was also not upto the mark leaving me to eat just a little for the sake of it. The breakfast was also the same quality as all things above except the fruits which was nice and fresh. The staff mentioned that we will be given set breakfast but that included poha and fried rice and no bread and butter or jam, which another staff mentioned we could eat as it was in the buffet. So maybe there might have been a miscommunication too on that which is understandable.
All in all, nothing against Hotel Khamsum but I surely did expect better. Maybe it's also the tiring day we had that made us more anxious but hoping for a better experience for others.
While the staff was very polite, this hotel can do better with respect to service. We came back one evening to find that our room was left open after cleaning. Breakfast was to start at 7 but actually began abt half hour later. On 2 out of 3 days we found that staff would forget to keep things at the buffet table, eg. hot milk, tea, tea spoons etc. We were told that the last order for dinner was at 8:30, but they began calling us from 7:15 encouraging us to place our order for dinner.
While the bathrooms were clean, it would make a big difference if they provided a small shelf to keep our toiletries in the shower area. The double bed in our room had two single bed matresses of different sizes!

Restaurant serves lip smacking vegetarian food. Front desk staff and restaurant staff are always ready to help.
Hotel is walking distance to attractions of Paro.

"I would highly recommend 202 (or the room numbers just above the room number 202; the upper rooms have balcony too)"Read full review
