This relative new hotel is nicely located. Rooms are ok but beds are far to hard!! Staff is attentive and friendly but barking dogs at night keep you awake!! Wifi is ok, sometimes out. Vegetarilan reataurant of hotel is very good. All by all, mixed feelings.
Hotel is really nice and you'll find smiling faces welcoming you in the hotel. Location is good and close to local streets. Rooms are clean, spacious, big bed with electrical sheet to make it warmer, room heater and all the amenities. Breakfast was very tasty and services were beyond our expectation. Staff was really good and very hospitable. Special appreciation to Ganga, Pema and Yangzom, they were always carrying smile. Market start getting close by 8pm and you'll hardly find any restaurant for food except coffee shops, so better to have meal in hotel itself. Thank you Khamsum team for your services.
We booked the hotel on the spot as we had a hiccup with our reservation at another hotel. The staffs were kind enough to book us 3 rooms and we used the restaurant. The food was great. Very good experience and would definitely recommend this hotel for staying in Paro.
Most comfortable stay in Paro, @ Khamsum Inn. Had visited the other branch in Thimpu so my expectations were high from this property. Good location, most appropriate to walk to nearby markets, shopping places, food junctions. Quite a lot of hotels are at walking distance from the hotel like Taste of Bhutam , Sonam trophel , Bhutanese Thali, Montain Cafe. Paro is the place to eat, shop and have real good time. Again this hotel doesnt have a lift , so getting your luggage till 3rd floor is a task. Staff is courteous and helpful, tried to solve my TV remote issue for good 2 days. Enjoyed my stay fully.
The hotel is centrally located. Rooms are neat and clean, though a bit small. We extended our stay by a day and had to book a standard room for the last day as the deluxe rooms were not available. The staff was gracious enough to inform us when they received a cancellation at the last minute and let us continue in the same room. While the staff was very polite, this hotel can do better with respect to service. We came back one evening to find that our room was left open after cleaning. Breakfast was to start at 7 but actually began abt half hour later. On 2 out of 3 days we found that staff would forget to keep things at the buffet table, eg. hot milk, tea, tea spoons etc. We were told that the last order for dinner was at 8:30, but they began calling us from 7:15 encouraging us to place our order for dinner. While the bathrooms were clean, it would make a big difference if they provided a small shelf to keep our toiletries in the shower area. The double bed in our room had two single bed matresses of different sizes!…
We a group of 5 stayed in this property from 11.12.2019 to 13.12.2019 and were staying in Room Nos: 201 & 202.We made a late check in to the hotel and the best part is after the schedule arrival time they gave us a call to ascertain about our arrival. The check in process was quite smooth and took hardly 10 minutes time to get in to our room. The rooms may be slightly smaller as compared to other hotels but the cleanliness and provisions are well up to the standard. The overall food quality is well up to our expectations and the only good thing about the food is that they prepare it fresh depending upon individual requirements. As regards the staff behaviour I will give a +5* to all the staffs and would like to mention especially the names of 1. Dawa Lhamo 2. Pema Uden, who provided us with the best of services and lovingly we used to call both of them as Num(The Sisters). Last but not the least the overall hotel management was well up to our expectations and we would like to extend our thanks to the Hotel Manager Miss.Usmita who helped us to cherish a memorable stay in Hotel Khamsum.…
Had a perfect night halt in Paro. Good wood panelled room and comfortable bedding. The staff was extremely friendly and had my dinner ready on my late arrival. The also agreed to make it complementary as I had lost one day in transit. The BF had limit3d variety but quality was good, Upma, Beans and Omlettes. Only, request them to switch on the heater before arrival.
Barring the unpleasant conversation with the Lady owner regarding missing panel heater in one of rooms when the outside temperature was freezing, the stay was overall comfortable with good vegetarian food. The rooms are spacious, the location is good, staffs are helpful
If you are staying in khamsum with friends or family, forget sleeping in the night as packs of dogs create menace and bark all night. Hotel has the worst internet and the food quality is less than average.
1) Staffs were helpful and kind. A specific staff Tshering, was very cooperative over the email and in person when we visited the hotel. She provided us the best available rooms and were offering all the support that were needed. 2) The complementary breakfast was one of the best in Bhutan. I have been to both in Thimpu and Punakha, but they offered both English and Indian food (very tasty). 3) Location is perfect and all the cafes and restaurants are walking distance from the hotel.
