This is a great place to stop on the way to Hearst Castle or driving the coast. The hotel is right on Moonstone Beach and is a much better choice than the terrible options in San Simeon. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and have fireplaces.

If it were not for the desk clerk arranging the muffins, scones and bread at breakfast with her bare hands after typing on the computer I would have been quite satisfied with my stay. Decent beds, clean rooms across the street from a magnificent beach. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We drove from San Francisco to this lovely American "small town" on route to LA. This really is a crashing waves and beautiful scenery place to visit. The small one street town had a few restaurants which accommodated us perfectly. The hotel room was the best we had for our whole trip, even beating The Hilton in Santa Monica. If...

We stayed here for one night on our US road trip. So pleased we chose the ocean view room. The views were just amazing and we felt close to the sea with the sound of the waves crashing around. Room was a good size and had a big bathroom. Breakfast was simple but adequate. A great stop off. There are...

Moonstone Landing is situated in a beautiful location, no doubt about that. But the architecture of this place does nothing to enhance it. The rooms are spacious and pleasant but the design of the building itself is a shambles and so is the construction. The timber floors may look nice but if you happen to be on the lower level...

Loved this little hotel. We had a ground floor, corner, ocean view room. It was very spacious with sitting area, dining area, microwave, fridge, huge bathroom and our favorite thing, a working gas fire place. This hotel serves a complimentary breakfast that is a step up from continental. Check in and out were easy. Staff was courteous. The best part...

This was a beautiful hotel. We did not get an ocean front room, but our room did have a partial view. The continental breakfast (Bread, muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs, fruit, coffee and juice) was great for those who are looking to save some money. The rooms seem as though they have recently been updated and very nice. The bed...

Stayed here for four nights this past weekend - and it was terrific. The remodel of the rooms are wonderful - very spacious, spacious bathrooms - and love the "hardwood" floors - so much nicer than carpeting especially so close to the ocean where rooms can often get musty. We had an ocean view room which, as promised, gave us...

Upon entering the room for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised by the large room. We had a room with a balcony and beautiful view of the ocean. The weather was gorgeous! The breakfast wasn't much (rolls, dried cereal, coffee, juice, etc.) which was somewhat disappointing considering the price for the room. Altogether, Moonstone Landing is VERY nice, the...
