This motel is exactly as advertised, the least expensive deal in town. Our room was exceptionally clean, the bathroom was well laid out and functional with a shower only. Our beds were comfortable and the TV and refrigerator both worked well for our needs. The motel was an easy walk to town and plenty of restaurants. The ocean is a...

Owner was very friendly and helpful. room was spacious, clean and basic. this is near the ocean, if that is what you want, but is within easy walking distance to downtown Cambria. Beach is maybe 3 minutes by car.

We completely disagree with the comments that it's basic and dated. We stayed in Room 14 at the back of the hotel and we loved our room. Having said that, the room beside us had a private patio - we wanted that one instead but it was booked! Perhaps the other rooms are still being upgraded but our room was...

This motel was not the 4-stars motel that I was thinking it would be, but looking back it wasn't horrible. This motel is dated. I had a hard time finding an outlet that my phone charger would not fall out of. But the bed was clean, there was free cable and wifi, and the price was reasonable. It is along...

We were going to Hearst Castle and Cambria is a favorite spot to stay. The Palms Motel seemed like a interesting place after reading the reviews. Very inexpensive. It was clean, had a coffee pot, refrigerator, requested a microwave. The manager was very accommodating, and location to town, just a few blocks away. We would definitely return, and I'm one...

Stopped here for one night after travelling down from north of Monterey. Should have driven down the Big Sur but had to take a detour on highway 101 due to the bridge on highway 1 being closed. Very basic accommodation but clean. The room was very small and didn't appear to have any heating or aircon. The motel is close...

Where can you get a relatively large clean motel room with free cable TV, and high speed wifi for less than $100 in California? Well this is the place. We wanted an reasonable place near the Hearst estate and the Palms fit the bill. The manger was extremely friendly and helpful. It's also within walking distance of several restaurants and...

Like a trip back in time, maybe the 60's, with clean, simple, small but modern rooms and bathroom in a quiet, edge of town setting. The outside, out back, fire pit and lawn lounge area is a nice touch anytime day or night to just hang out and relax. One night or a week, I think the value is there.

Cambria Pines is a clean, no frills motel. It is an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The room has wood flooring which also makes it seem tidy. The shower is tight and towels are a bit rough and light. The staff is friendly. It didn't matter because we were there in the spring, but there wasn't an air conditioning...

Clean room. Old fashion style roadside motel. Don't expect alot of amenities. It's clean and close to town. You can walk to the town of cambria. Not much in town to do, but the shoreline is beautiful.
