My wife and I have stayed at various B&B's and hotels all over the world. This place stands out as the worst place we have ever stayed--period! It is filthy and should be condemned immediately. How it remains open is a mystery to me. Believe the negative reviews on this place and avoid at all costs!

My husband and I booked 3 nights here in 2011 for our 30th anniversary. I wish I would have reviewed this earlier, but here goes. Needless to say the location is amazing the home is set on a beautiful piece of property. Once inside I found that the main living/dining area was full of antiques but very well kept. Our... More

Is not a conventional place. Is more like go to visit to your old auntie house. Have amazing views and a lot of cool hikes to do around. The living room have a nice view and is confortable to drink a wine while enjoy and tripping looking the views. Is a clean place and pet friendly. Wehave a great time.

The surroundings are beautiful, but stay away from this place! There are mice and their waste inside the room, too, it is very dirty, dusty, dark and old! The owner washes the rugs in the pool which is offered to be used to the travelers... OMG! We booked online, which was a mistake. Never again!

Rented mid-week at a VERY convenient rate for the area. The view is wonderful. Quiet and peaceful, on a hill overlooking Chateau Montelena and the vineyards. The house is over-decorated. Too much stuff. Breakfast included. Decent. The coffee machine, fridge, and toaster can be used at any time. The owner tries her best, but the property needs serious upgrading to... More

We recently stayed at Hillcrest for two nights before we traveled south to Yountville to celebrate a friends 60th Birthday. They view at the Inn is beautiful, the geyser appears about every 30 minutes in the valley below, balloons in the early morning. We enjoyed coffee on our balcony as we were very fortunate with warm weather to enjoy the... More

We have stayed in so many B&B's, five star hotels, camps in Africa, etc. but nothing was as terrible as this, after never seeing Debbie, we did hear her the second night upstairs yelling for help, softly at first then very loud, soon there was a man telling her to stop, & suddenly it was so quiet. When my husband... More

On Sept. 28, 2014 my friend and I arrived to check in. We drove up the driveway to the parking area and there were 2 pit bull dogs. I was scared to exit the car so my friend pulled up close to the front door. A scribbled note was on the door stating the owner (Debbie) was shopping, her phone... More

Wow, just stumbled across this, looking for an authentic Calistoga experience since Nances and Triple S are long gone. I knew Debbie years ago, they are like 5th generation Calistoga pioneer family. Yay for them, holding onto their ancestral home and graciously sharing a little history and gorgeous views from before the valley got all Snooty! When I go, I... More

It's in a beautiful, quiet spot but we can't understand why it hasn't yet been shut down for the poor standards of hygiene. Debbie is pleasant and helpful but the housekeeping here leaves a lot to be desired. We had a room that supposedly shared a kitchen - except the 'kitchen' was a refrigerator in a room stuffed with dusty... More
