Nice hot mineral water fed pools. Great location, walking distance to many things in Calistoga. Spa services available. Not "new" but well maintained. Room has refrigerator and stove and just a few kitchen amenities. Good size rooms, but, price a bit high.

We spent the night here with our family from Santa Rosa. It was very relaxing. We were walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The room was small and very clean, updated with modern kitchenette and Tv. The pools were nice and warm, 4 to choose from, and we had a good time visiting. The mattresses are very firm.... More

We love the pools here! It's downtown an close to everything! We walk everywhere. The rooms are very clean. The pool opens early and closes later, so it's great! A lot of room to acommadate for everyone, so it feels very private! We enjoy it here!

It's not exactly a resort due to its size and amenities. It doesn't have a place to eat meals on site and the pool towels are not conveniently at the pool. You have to go all the way to the front desk for pool towels (weird because they have a limited snack bar that could easily distribute towels It's not... More

This was a girlfriends weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday. We are all Moms to young kids. We love our kids- and we love other people's kids- but we were sort of hoping to have one of those "resort" getaways that make you remember that we were young and carefree once- even for but a short weekend. There were plenty... More

Hello NorCal Explorer, thank you for this review. We are in the design stage of completing a remodel on our spa. Calistoga is known for its volcanic ash mineral mud baths and the cotton wrap is a component of that service. The wrap helps pull heat from the body of the mud and mineral baths prior to the massage. The... More

We booked a Sunday night so it wouldn't be so crowded when we were there, and really got to enjoy the pools. Monday morning I even got to swim in the big pool with no one else around. Our double queen was newly renovated, beautiful and luxurious feeling. I have reactions to mold and mildew as well as chemical products,... More

Located just one block from Calistoga's main street is a real plus for this facility. Rooms are very nice contemporary styling and spacious. It appears rooms were recently upgraded. The bathroom is roomy and the shower is large with up to date fixturing. Rooms have kitchen facilities for those who wish to eat light meals in their room. The 2... More

My massage was good but the facility is gross. Took a shower & the water barely trickled out. When someone flushed the toilet the water stopped for a brief second. It was like stepping into the 1980's. The outdoor pools were nice but the toddler screaming from the kid pool to her mom who was lounging in the shade was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Calistoga Spa Hot Springs, a geothermal hot springs resort, recently completed an extensive renovation project that has dramatically transformed a property that has been attracting repeat guests for generations. Located in downtown Calistoga, the 56-room hotel and spa was completely redesigned with a contemporary spa inspired look and feel. The eighteen month long renovation has touched all aspects of the property including a redesign of the guestrooms with spa-inspired bedding, honed Italian porcelain tile showers, kitchenettes with microwave ovens and modern conveniences such as full High Definition LED televisions. The focal points of the renovation are the four-geothermal heated mineral pools. The pool deck was fitted with travertine tiles, new designer-inspired pool furniture and the inclusion of grape covered arbors. ... more   less
