The cottages are excellent as is the atmosphere and meals in the old clubhouse. The only disappointment was the breakfast. Lorne sausage was inedible totally overcooked no butter on the table, no milk on the table. Staff not the best. Very poor agreed by all of our party. However it did not spoil the golf or the break.

Fantastic location with lovely rooms and friendly staff Meals though were disappointing. Breakfast while tasty was very slow in service. Dinner service also slow and wine service chaotic I will return but service and dinner quality could be improved.

We had one night here and had the place pretty much to ourselves. Lovely room, excellent feel about the place, great breakfast, no complaints at all, would be back in a minute. The bar beside it was a great place for a meal, over the road from the beach and nice, but cold, walks.

We stayed at the Cottages adjacent to the Ugadale Hotel for a week. Our two-bedroom cottage was well appointed with basic appliances including a microwave, small refrigerator, and two-burner hot plate to permit light snack preparation. The shared living room was spacious and the en-suite bathrooms within each bedroom afforded convenient privacy. The staff is friendly and always willing to...

Ugadale Hotel what a gem of a place and I don't even play golf, we have just spent two nights in this property and it was everything we wanted and more . From the warm welcome by the fantastic receptionist to the much welcomed lift ( I have mobility problems) to the very very nice room (6) first impressions count...

Thank you very much Colin! We are always happy to see people enjoying Machrihanish beyond the two world-class courses that we have at our finger tips. Glad to see that your room and service exceeded your expectations, we hope to be seeing you back soon. Cheers!

The Ugadale hotel is one of the best hotels that I've stayed in. The view from the rooms is breathtaking. Looking up the sandy bay to the golf courses and over to the islands of Islay and Jura. The rooms are really spacious, spotless and well equipped. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is brilliant. Try...

Our room was luxurious with views of the golf course ,beach and village. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The food in the restaurant well cooked using...

We spent two nights here over a weekend. The staff were very pleasant and also very helpful especially the chap on the desk but sadly they lacked training. At breakfast I had to ask for a glass, a cereal bowl and a side plate as there were none at the self serve buffet. In the bar drinks were placed on...

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your comments. We investigate all comments, both positive and negative and in your case did determine that the days you were with us, especially at breakfast, we experienced an unusually high volume of guests/customers. We had more than 25 customers walk into the restaurant unannounced, which we were not expecting, but we never want to...

Friendly open, comfortable and updated accommodation in spectacular golf & beach hotel in this out of the way location. The open willing and helpful reception staff, well presented rooms, comfortable beds and facilities together with the remote location for deliveries and availability of staff make up for any shortage in training of staff in the finer points of modern customer...

The staff were great, we had a stunning sea view, fantastic big bath and was just a really nice place to go and escape for the night. A lovely sleepy village by the beach. A much nicer location than in Campbeltown itself. Would definately recommend this trip to couples.
