The rooms are clean and comfortable. Five (5) elevators serve 9 floors providing prompt service. While I'm not a big fan of the upper floors, my 9th floor room on the south end was conveniently located next to 3 of the 5 elevators. Breakfast was very good with an offering of eggs to order and fresh coffee. While the onsite restaurant offered a nice selection, the atmosphere and service was a bit disappointing. What I found most disappointing was the $35/day parking charge for self parking. $35/day for open air self parking is outrageous.

We have loved this hotel and location for a long time. This last visit was not what we have experienced in the past. The room category we reserved was not available at checkin. The staff resolution to this problem was not satisfactory. Upon check out, I was billed for the higher rate of the room that was not available & reserved (waterfront), after I was told the rate would be adjusted. I had to call front desk and finally visit them before they corrected the problem. The hotel is outdated and just blah. I think covid is just an excuse for the company to hide behind as to why services are not available. Example, going to the front desk for more towels. The room only had two sets of towels for a reservation for four people for 7 nights. Housekeeping can plan accordingly for that or someone on property should be able to deliver towels. You also have to take out your own trash; can’t just leave it outside your room for housekeeping to pick up. Not terrible, but not fantastic either. The best thing about the hotel is the location and waterfront view.....if you actually get it.

This Embassy Suites has amazing views of the bay and you can easily spot planes landing at SFO throughout the day. The staff is professional and friendly. The only reason I'm not giving a 5/5 review is because the suites are a bit dated, especially the bathrooms.

We are completing a one night stay at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame (Near the airport). The location of this place is great. All other aspects of this place were not. The check in experience last night was terrible. We waited in a long line with unfriendly staff telling us our reserved room was not even ready and no known timeframe was given. My wife asked if we would be waiting 10 hours and the woman helping her had no response. We finally got a room after my wife discussed the situation with the manager. The rooms at this hotel teleport you back to 1998 or so. The cottage cheese ceilings and worn and outdated interior are unacceptable for a large hotel chain like Hilton and Embassy-This is a premium location in the Bay Area!!! For Pete’s sake spend some money on a remodel!! Anyways, the breakfast was edible but I can “not”recommend this place other than a quick stop for pre or post flights out of SFO.

We were on a road trip, last minute changes took us to San Diego. Started out from Surrey, BC, Canada around 1pm reached Eureka, CA around 9:30pm booked in to a motel out there for a night stay (terrible and sickening experience which surely will be reviewed later on) and started out for another day of long drive and sightseeing, redwood forest, avenue of the giants, humbolt national park, Golden Gate Bridge and finally our destination at Hilton. The drive was amazing to say the least. But our experience at embassy suites by Hilton was even better.
Driving into the parking lot was so cool with lots of parking spots and such a picturesque landscaping with SF on the other side of the bay... beautiful and breathtaking views.
Me and my daughter went inside to checkin while my spouse and her mother waited outside with Zack-boy. Checked in got our keys all in a matter of less than 10 minutes and went out to unpack all the required stuff for the 2 day stay.
We went in with our strollers and the sort to our room in the fourth floor and that itself was an experience in itself. At the entrance to the hotel my wife said “are we staying here, this is not my kind and I don’t know how to deal in such a posh location. We should try some where cheaper” it was a last minute decision and we got an amazing deal for 2 nights. I just wanted to clear my head of the utter BS we faced in Eureka.
Finally hesitantly she followed me through the reception, the beautiful garden setting of the breakfast lounge and on to the elevator. This is where another short story starts. My dog was totally scared of the closed space of the elevator and the movement upwards and during the stay I had to carry him all the 9 flights of stairs to do his daily business down and back up to the room,.
We did a bunch of strolls through the beautifully landscaped gardens and pristine settings.
Next day morning we had an amazing continental breakfast, all that you can choose from (unlimited)
We took turns as one person needed to be with our pet at the room. The overnight sleep was comfortable and we had lot of space in our queen size double bedroom.
All in n all the experience was amazing and posh.

Choose another spot! Absolutely awful!

On our first night it was extremely loud mostly because kids kept running around and playing on the elevators. We had to wait for 3 elevators until we could get one that wasn’t full of teens. Front desk staff left for about 20 minutes at one point because they had pizza delivered so obviously they had other priorities.

The room itself was a standard Embassy Suites room so I was hopeful but it was bad. Very, very bad. My husband and I took the sofa sleeper and my mom took the bedroom. The sofa sleeper was so uncomfortable neither my husband nor I slept and I literally had a bruise on my hip from the bars on the sleeper. I wasn’t expecting the best sleep ever from a sofa sleeper but to be bruised? What’s worse is how management responded.

In the morning we asked to be switched to a two-bed room instead but management said we couldn’t do it because of our reservation was for 1 queen. We did a quick check on Expedia and a two-bed double bed room was available for $20 a night CHEAPER than what we were paying but management wanted to charge us $50 MORE to switch. We showed them the Expedia room quote and asked them, “so we need to physically check out, rebook the room on Expedia, then check in again?” They said yes, this is what we need to do and refused to just switch for the rate we were paying let alone price match our online quote. My elderly mother argued with the front desk staff for 30 minutes until they eventually agreed to switch us to another room. Additionally, the reservation was in her name so they would only deal with her not me even though it was clear we were all traveling together and in the same room. That’s just a jerk move to make an old lady deal with this hassle when I could have handled it.

The next night’s stay wasn’t awful but the room was extremely hot and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. If I had to stay one more night I would have checked out and gone to the Double Tree across the street. If all things are equal at least they would give me a cookie.

Twelve of us are attending a training course at this hotel. Despite promising to save rooms at a discount rate for the class only 10 of us of 12 got in. The people staying here agrer the two staying at other hotels are the lucky ones. The first night when I checked in there was so much mold in the bathtub in my room I had to run out get bleach, a spray bottle and a scrub brush to protect myself from getting contaminated. Food in the restaurant is mediocre-at-best with very limited choices and since this is also the lunch menu they're serving our class, everyone is very unhappy about it. The breakfast is completely unappetizing.... I think they use powdered eggs for the omelets and it's disgusting at best. The hotel can only heat or cool they can't do both at the same time that means the only way to cool down the room is to open the balcony door. This means you get freeway noise and airplane noise all night. When you add in the rock hard bed it has been an absolutely miserable stay and I will never stay here again. I should say that I am a diamond member and I have put in a report to corporate and while corporate has acknowledged my report no one from the hotel has reached out to me at all. Avoid this place at all costs!

We recently stayed at this hotel for four nights, and I would definitely suggest that potential guests stay elsewhere. While the hotel itself is in a great location and housekeeping was wonderful, the front desk and management leave much to be desired. As many have posted, there is an issue with the HVAC. Our room was so hot and stuffy that we had trouble sleeping. Upon our first complaint we were moved to a "cooler" room, which was still very uncomfortable. We asked the front desk about it and they replied that the heating/cooling was in "neutral" and basically there was no A/C. Given the number of reviews that complain about this same thing, I think that Hilton needs to fix this NOW!
But the worst part is that when we checked out there is a sign on the counter that reads "if you are unsatisfied tell us and we will make it right". So I again brought up the discomfort of the room and the desk clerk offered nothing except to give me the manager's card. I emailed the manager twice and have had no response. Also, as we were checking out I noticed that our bill was incorrect, to the tune of $400! I showed the desk staff and her response was that she agreed that it was wrong and she then proceeded to correct it, but with no explanation or apology at all. Nice customer service.
This is a terrible representation of the Hilton brand. How can you be in California and not let people have A/C????

Lets start with the rooms. They are typical Embassy suites, a bit dated, but did function well. The same with the hotel properties.

But the service is far below standard:
1) Only one receptionist. We stayed here 2 days, I never saw more than one person behind the desk
2) They only clean the room one every 4 days. This also means no new towels. Reason: COVID. Come on, its August 2022, During our road trip through West USA, this was the only hotel having this policy (We stayed at 9 hotels). We had to call twice for new towels
3) When you call the guests hotline, no one will answer (we tried 7 times, in the end just to check if someone ever will answer....)
4) The enormous waste during breakfast: Come on we live in 2022, we all realise we need to reduce waste. Not at Embassy suites. Why don't you provide real silverware during breakfast, instead of the lowest quality plastic crap you provide now?

Conclusion: Rooms are dated, still comfy, but expect no service
