Fabulous stay! Great rooms and friendly staff! The staff always greeted us with a smile and offered complimentary waters when we walked past the lobby. Rooms are modern while comfortable. Pool is refreshing and quiet, even on a Saturday. We will definitely stay again.
Perfect location for business with entertainment industry leaders in the area. Convenient with a supermarket facing the hotel, and easy and fast access to the airport and lovely street restaurants and cafés like “Lou -French on the Block” for amazing pastries. The hotel renovations bring chic, comfort back at the foreground of the experience. Lovely, smart and convenient.
When you travel 75% of the time for your career, 90% of your sanity comes from the rest and recovery you allow yourself. Unless you provide yourself with the right accommodations and the right people, you could end up in a very uncomfortable situation and a dreary work scenario. That wasn't the case at the Hotel Amarano. From the start, my arrival was fabulous. I was welcomed with a warm letter from Laurie Dew, our group coordinator and the most professional and most caring guest rep one could ask for. She is a master of her trade and the kind of person every guest should have on their side. A perfect recharge of a snack after 18 hours of travel accompanied her welcoming note which, for me, all this was indicative of the quality experience I was going to have there. I was right. My room was quiet, clean, dark (if needed), cool, away from the hustle and bustle of the other guests from the hotel. The best part was that if I needed anything it was a call away. The staff there were impressive in all ways as well. Peter Kolla – the grounds and property manager – knowing our arrival times, purposefully waited outside in the summer heat and helped us unload as well as offered us cold drinks as we dragged ourselves to our rooms after a long and stressful day. His energy was not only very refreshing, but contagious. He’s does exactly what a good captain does, lead by example. Hernan stopped at nothing to make sure I was taken care of. Stopped at nothing!! Ali, Jefferson, and Sergio - at the front - were sat like gargoyles (with fantastic, warm smiles) every afternoon and evening ready to accomplish any mission I humbly requested from a room charge to a valet request. Top notch. James and the bar staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an opportunity to unwind and debrief after some long days. Even after the bar had closed, we kept quiet respecting their generosity and making sure they knew they were so very appreciated. Home is an idea; a mentality. If you find yourself using the word “home” when referring to the place you are staying away from your actual home, it means you feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I found myself doing this several times throughout my stay. Thank you, Peter. Thank you, Laurie. No need to look elsewhere now. I found my home away from home.…
Hotel Amarano was a perfect choice to stay in Burbank. Location is excellent with a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, nail salons, coffee shops and banking walking distance. The staff and hospitality were first class. The one bedroom suite was a perfect choice for my pet and I to enjoy the sunshine and quiet.
First & foremost, I love the location of Hotel Amarano. It is a beautiful and inviting boutique hotel in a quieter part of town - and directly across the street is a grocery store, as well as a few really good restaurants. But I digress. I just stayed at this property for 3 nights for a business trip. It is probably the best experience I have ever had at any hotel around the country - hands down. The staff is amazing, the bedding is luxurious, hot water pressure is great, and the breakfast tea selection is SO good. I very much look forward to staying here again very soon.
I booked this hotel through the Universal Studios website as part of a package. We were celebrating our anniversary with our first post-pandemic trip and I booked this trip as a surprise for my significant other. I called the hotel to confirm that the reservation was made and to request that a bottle of champagne be in the room when we arrived. I was told that my request would be forwarded to guest services. A couple days later I received an email asking about the request for champagne and what my price range was. I told them to keep it under $200 and to charge the price to the room. Fast forward to the day of our trip, we arrived a couple hours before check in (1pm) and were told that our room was not ready yet, but they let us leave our luggage and valet the car. The front desk staff and valet were lovely. They made sure to offer us complimentary waters on arrival which was much appreciated with the extremely hot weather outside. We didn't come back to check in until after 6pm and I was surprised with how unclean the room was. There was hair all over the shower wall and bed. The toilet was dirty and there was some kind of residue in the sink. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of cleanliness, especially since we were told we couldn't check in early because the room wasn't ready and even with an additional 3 hours after check in it still wasn't "ready". To top it off, there was no champagne as requested. It had been a long day and we still had dinner reservations to make so we didn't waste time complaining to the staff, we just shrugged it off. The rest of the stay was pretty uneventful. We did get drinks from the bar and the bartender was fantastic. Super nice and great drink recommendations. On the day we left I received an email from their customer service team (the same one that emailed about my price range for the champagne) asking me to call them. I responded to them via email letting them know it wouldn't be necessary, we had already checked out. Too little, too late. Overall I would recommend this as a decent place to stay, but I wasn't wowed. It's the little things that make a hotel amazing and unfortunately we just didn't get those here.…
Amazing stay. Rooms were great. Pool and hot tub definitely something nice to enjoy. Staff were kind, warm and very friendly. Very convenient location while in town. Close to a supermarket, coffee and a few restaurants. Can't wait to be back.
What a fantastic stay. From booking over the phone directly, and from arrive through departure, Jerry took such good care of us. Really, it was the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, and Jerry was the reason. Wonderful!
Likes: Very friendly and helpful folks, even to the valets who remembered my name. Car service very swift, and the bottled water was a nice perk. Hotel was quiet when it was time to wind down at night. Solid Wi-Fi, clean linens, nice decor, and comfortable beds. Adequate plug ins for devices. Fast elevator service. Dislikes: I was very disappointed in the condition my room. One of the soap dispensers was broken off the wall and left in the shower caddy. I found it upon check in. I reported it twice; it wasn't repaired. Further, the bottle was empty and never refilled when the room was serviced so we showered with shampoo the entire stay. I reported a broken curtain pull, slow running sink and tub; tub drain tended to. Sheers on the window are frayed and black out blinds dirty. Dirty hand prints on the bathroom door. Dirty sliding door runners. Housekeeping poor - at least for this room - for a hotel at this price point, or perhaps I got a bad room. BIG pet peeve: NO safety/grab bar on the wall for the shower. If you're going to have a tub shower, please consider adding a grab bar. The tub side is high and there is NO anti-slip on the tub floor. Many hotels are opting for walk in showers these days; I am looking for that in the future. I had far higher expectations given the clientele at this property and the 4-diamond rating. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros. I won’t be returning.…
My family and I just returned from our first trip to California. This hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a one bedroom suite. We couldn’t hear anything from the street nor other rooms. Be careful of the shower door as you can get your fingers caught closing it. There’s a supermarket across the street and a great breakfast spot called Bea Bea’s. Everyone that worked there were super nice and helpful. Most of the attractions were like 30-45 minutes away. I will stay here again.
