This hotel is right in the centre of the town - the bar and restaurant are excellent. Good food and drinks but the food is expensive. A simple breakfast was $20 which is very steep. The rooms are old style but comfortable - the Mark Twaine suite is supposedly haunted...but I was left alone...and is not worth spending extra money...

Thanks for the review. It's always good to hear from guests with positive recommendations. The Bridgeport Inn breakfast menu includes many items, the average cost for a meal is about 10 dollars. If you stay at the Inn you receive a $3.95 coupon per day for each person in your party. The coupon can be used at any meal, breakfast,...

On my trip from San francisco to las Vegas I pulled into this small town and found this place to stay. Very welcoming and a comfortable room and bed. Friendly bar staff and a fortifying breakfast for the travel ahead

Stopped here as campground we were supposed to stay at was closed. Rooms were basic but very authentic, has a very traditional western feel to them. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious and huuuge!

We stayed one night instead of camping. The room was clean and simple. The bathroom faced the street so if the bathroom light was on at night, showering appeared to be visible from the street so I showered without the light on. The hot water ran out quickly and went on and off during showering for me as well as my...

Thanks for the review. I will look into the hot water issue. This is the first time I have heard of any problem with water. Hope you can visit Bridgeport again, we have great seasons and beautiful lakes and streams.

This is a quaint, but clean hotel in a small but quiet town along 395. We stayed but one night and were please with both food and service. There are rooms in the hotel itself or in units attached alongside, we stayed in the hotel. Stairs are steep, but rooms are comfortable, clean and fully equipped.

Thanks for the review. Hope you can return sometime in the summer or fall seasons. This should be an exceptional year in the high country for wild flowers and fall colors.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Mark Twain suite. No visits from the "White Lady" or Samuel Clemens, who both stayed in this room. Very "Old Time" furnishings and feel. TV in room, but no microwave, refrigerator, or coffee pot that I recall. The stairway up to the room is steep, but negotiable. They have a Bar and Restaurant in...

Thanks very much for the review. That "Old Time" atmosphere is exactly what we try to achieve. Our town and our area including the resorts at nearby lakes are very popular for generation after generation of guests that are pleased that things don't change in Bridgeport. Hope you come again during our summer and/or fall seasons.

Stayed here for one night in the "motel" portion of this historic property. The motel has peeling wall paper, plastic fake wood paneling, old air conditioners - The beds are inner spring mattresses. This place needs a make-over really bad. The lighting in the room was poor. All compact fluorescent lights. The room was big, but no coffee pot, no...

Ok, this is just a step up from camping. Shared bathroom, the cowboy room is very basic. Showers have hot and cold water but never in the right sequence :-) part of the cowboy treatment! Bar is good fun and food very decent. Service is family style, friendly...

Thanks for the review. We're never more than we claim. Cowboy rooms are not for everyone. We do have very comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, antique furnishing, and amenities upstairs in our historic hotel building. And, larger rooms with two queens or three doubles, all with private bathrooms and amenities in our motel building. Plus free parking, free Wi-Fi, and...
