Camp Redstart is located in Mann village with 12 luxurious tents with en suite bathroom. The property is located roughly at a distance of 10 minutes drive from the lake. We have electric blankets and 24hrs electricity. The food is simple and hearty. We pride in our service which is difficult to come by in such a remote area.

Extremely happy to have booked and planned my stay at camp redstart. My excitement to visit Pangong Lake doubled with the arrangements of this place. Freshly cooked food, electric blankets and humble staff is all that leaves you with pleasant memories of this place. Thank you to the staff for their help, support and services!

It was my first experience to be staying at a camp and I am glad that I chose camp redstart. At first, I was skeptical, as it seemed difficult to me managing without mobile network, leaving bedroom comfort, freshly cooked food and most importantly bearing with the falling temperatures near the lake. But my stay was comforatble way beyond my expectations..the accommodation was equipped with an electric blanket, which I haven't heard of elsewhere..the staff was courteous and prrepared fresh food for us everyday. The view of Pangong Tso is breath-taking and to experience the changing colours of the lake, one must spend a night there. My stay and experience increased manifold with Camp redstart..it definitely changed my opinion about camping! Kudos to the team who is managing in the extreme weather conditions and serving us with a smile!

I visited pangong tso last week and i had the best stay at camp redstart. I was reluctant at first after reading the reviews but thought to give it a try and I am so glad I chose camp redstart. The staff was super polite and courteous and they made us fresh food everyday. Unlike other camps they provide electric blankets which makes it super comfortable to sleep on freezing cold nights. I must recommend camp redstart to Everyone planning to stay at Pangong tso.

Worst ever stay. We were 3 families. 8 adults in the group. Stayed on 01 June night. No place further than this in Pangong for a stay. No connectivity. Poor stay arrangements. Bad food. Rude staff. Need I write further. Perhaps not. But I must. To exactly convey the pain and trauma we underwent. The caretaker refused our rooms when we showed voucher for our booking. There was no connectivity therefore no way to get in touch with our agent. We pleaded with him to come with us to some place where we could connect. Very reluctantly he agreed. We could finally talk and get rooms. Dinner was awful. Tent was bad. Next morning, when we asked for eggs, we were told it was chargeable. The caretaker almost manhandled us. Pleazzz do not go to this place ever. To preserve your sanity and not spoil your holidays

Was a big dissapointment as soon as we reached Pangong. First of the biggest bummer was change of location without any signboard or change on website. After seeing a lot of good reviews we decided to pre-book camp redstart for our friend's group of 3 families including 5 children, the excitment vanished after roaming around in the area mentioned in their address no one could actually point us in correct direction where it is located, we started wondering whether it exists or no at last an old lady said they have shifted 7 km from here so after wasting an hour we reached at the site late which is now very far away from lake, leaving all the picturesque views behind we somehow settled and went for dinner. The food was OK, soup was awesome 4/5 points there...no eggs, no nonveg, no fruits. No one told us that the provision of power is only till 11 pm...so no warm mattresses, no charging points no warm water....better to keep a kettle of warm water, to be used early in the morning. Freezing temp in the night and early morning. 4/5 points for cleanliness..but staff was very very rude....never recommend it for anyone specially travelling with kids.

We did an overnight stay at Camp Redstart as part of our Pangong trip. The camp is located just minutes walk (probably 3-4 mins) from the lake. The camps are really well made with clean washrooms. The food was quite good. The best part was the camp manager who took really good care of us and checked on us often as my husband had fallen sick - he made sure to get us warm vessels, checked oxygen levels (i was surprised he knew what all to do) and was super helpful. Best camp in the area.

Camp Redstart is located a beautiful location - 100 m away from the Pangong lake and since it was on a height, it had a beautiful view just outside our tents. We stayed a night as we wanted to camp at the lake. Though we could not get any sleep since it was cold and low oxygen, but the camp manager made sure that we were well taken care of. He had oxymeter to check oxygen levels and was constantly checking on me as I fell in. The food was also quite good with lot of options. The tents were quite nice and spacious with clean toilet area.

We stayed overnight in the tents of Camp Redstart after spending evening at Pangyong lake. Tents are in good condition and clean with attached toilets. Food at breakfast and dinner was buffet and good even at this remote location. This location is very cold and tents and bedding provided sufficient warmth to sleep comfortably. Only other thing was caretaker had school warden type speaking tone.

Overlooking the lake around 9 kms ahead of the start of pangong lake this luxury camp has perfect location if you are lucky sitting out side your tent you can view sunrise on a clear morning and see many stars on a clear night. Tent are comfortable and wind proof at 14000 feet above sea level it is quite cold if it rains it becomes colder. Staff is courteous food is ok bsnl post paid works for few hrs in the morning and evening as it is just 40 km from Chinese border signal is not available most of the time electricity is available only from 8 pm to 10.30pm no plug points in the room better carry power bank or at the electricity time give your phone and charger in the kitchen they will charge it for you. The five hours 164 kms journey with around 50 kms of bad bumpy road is worth it .special thanks to Suresh for taking good care
