Camp Redstart is located in Maan village with 12 luxurious tents with en suite bathroom. The property is located roughly at a distance of 10 minutes drive from the lake. We have electric blankets and 24hrs electricity. The food is simple and hearty. We pride in our service which is difficult to come by in such a remote area.

Extremely happy to have booked and planned my stay at camp redstart. My excitement to visit Pangong Lake doubled with the arrangements of this place. Freshly cooked food, electric blankets and humble staff is all that leaves you with pleasant memories of this place.
Thank you to the staff for their help, support and services!

I visited pangong tso last week and i had the best stay at camp redstart. I was reluctant at first after reading the reviews but thought to give it a try and I am so glad I chose camp redstart. The staff was super polite and courteous and they made us fresh food everyday. Unlike other camps they provide electric blankets which makes it super comfortable to sleep on freezing cold nights.

I must recommend camp redstart to Everyone planning to stay at Pangong tso.

It was my first experience to be staying at a camp and I am glad that I chose camp redstart. At first, I was skeptical, as it seemed difficult to me managing without mobile network, leaving bedroom comfort, freshly cooked food and most importantly bearing with the falling temperatures near the lake. But my stay was comforatble way beyond my expectations..the accommodation was equipped with an electric blanket, which I haven't heard of elsewhere..the staff was courteous and prrepared fresh food for us everyday. The view of Pangong Tso is breath-taking and to experience the changing colours of the lake, one must spend a night there. My stay and experience increased manifold with Camp redstart..it definitely changed my opinion about camping!
Kudos to the team who is managing in the extreme weather conditions and serving us with a smile!

Worst ever stay. We were 3 families. 8 adults in the group. Stayed on 01 June night. No place further than this in Pangong for a stay. No connectivity. Poor stay arrangements. Bad food. Rude staff. Need I write further. Perhaps not. But I must. To exactly convey the pain and trauma we underwent. The caretaker refused our rooms when we showed voucher for our booking. There was no connectivity therefore no way to get in touch with our agent. We pleaded with him to come with us to some place where we could connect. Very reluctantly he agreed. We could finally talk and get rooms. Dinner was awful. Tent was bad. Next morning, when we asked for eggs, we were told it was chargeable. The caretaker almost manhandled us. Pleazzz do not go to this place ever. To preserve your sanity and not spoil your holidays

I am still trying to recollect the first time i saw the pictures of the lake on the web and how i dreamt of being by the lake and sipping on a hot cuppa.. But when we reached the camp, we found it was very close to the Spangmik village and not in the absolute wilderness.. I later understood that its quite safe to be in the proximity of the village and also that there are streams flowing near the village which make the camp location very ideal. Stanzin and Tenzin ensured we had a fantastic stay at Camp Redstart. Stayed they on the 29-30th Sept.. the weather during the day was pleasant with the night temperatures dropping severely and the wind speeds reaching levels good enough to blow nearby tents away :) Of all the tents we saw nearby, though Not very colorful on the outside, the interiors were wonderfully carpeted and nice warm quilts and extra blankets to keep you warm and cozy. The toilets were the best i have seen around wrt all the camping trips i have done. We even received a bucket of hot water on request and all of our requests were wonderfully catered to ( we are some fussy vacationers ). The food was fantastic indian. Though i would have loved to have a slightly larger variety for the breakfast than paranthas :) The property is also ideal to set up your own tents. All in all.. Its a BIG thumbs UP from us for Camp Redstart.. Its definitely on my next trip agenda to Ladakh. Must do : Take a walk around the lake on a full moon night and also watch the sunrise and see the color of the lake changing. It is breathtaking.

By the time you reach Pagong lake you are pretty tired, as the long is pretty bumpy. But this camp works like magic. The staff there is so polite, we were greeted and welcomed with hot steaming tea/coffee which was a delight.
Location of the camp is bang on. There are few camps nearer to the shore of the lake, but the view from the camp was amazing.
Interiors of the camp are cozy and makes you feel comfortable. Bathrooms are hygienic.
The best part is the service provided by the owner and his team. They were always available and ready to help with any of our request.
We had a great time and will definitely visit again .. !!

After a long and bumpy drive to the beautiful Pangong Lake. Exhausted and worrying about where to stay, we found this camp with a beautiful view. Expecting the tents to be like those in Pang (Shared for Rs 100 a piece and just enough space to sleep) we went in and were astonished to see the quality of the tents and the service. It was as good as any three star hotel and was like a oasis in the midst of a desert.

Ultra friendly and helpful staff. They get 5 stars just for the effort they put in to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Amazing view, spacious tents and such service gets 5 stars from me, total value for money.

This was our second trip to Pangong Lake. Having a bad experience last time with camp watermark, i was a bit apprehensive about the camps etc. But Camp Redstart was such a delight. Got a nice discount. Changed our travel dates at the last minute, but Stanzin managed a tent for us. We were tired after a long journey, so were immediately shown to our tent and served hot tea n coffee. The location is perfect. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nothing is a problem for them. Stanzin even arranged for a pair of slippers for me. Tents are cozy and clean. No insects, dust etc that you expect from tents. Bathrooms are big and clean too. We got hot water in the morning. Good, non spicy food. Absolutely no complaints.
Thank you for the perfect stay. Will definitely come back for a longer stay!

It's about a 5 min walk from the lake. There are other camps and a stone building being constructed in the middle that will obstruct your view partially. However you can see the lake from outside your tent.
